Legal Advice Grandmother with dementia charged $13,000 USD for clothes at strip mall in Florida

Grandmother with dementia charged $13,000 USD for clothes at strip mall in Florida

    Posted: 05 May 2019 10:19 AM PDT

My grandmother who is 91 with severe dementia was charged $13,000 for five pieces of clothes at a strip mall in West Palm Beach, Florida. We have limited the amount of money she can spend (she wrote checks for the clothes) and so the checks bounced. I have contacted the store owners who sent a 'receipt' for her purchases which is hand written on a piece of paper (no store business information) and just says 'dress $4000' and 'skirt $3000', etc.

I strongly suspect that the owner just made up these prices (that normally they would be sold for MUCH less) and my grandmother was incapably of discerning any of this. My grandmother can't drive and has a full-time caregiver who was with her (and did nothing to stop this). The owner is now asking me to pay what is 'owed' on the clothes.

Any advice would be ENORMOUSLY appreciated! Thank you!!!

My ex wife and I have been arguing about custody. Last night, she threatened that I will get custody over her dead body. Today, I found out she has firearms. She has two convictions for domestic violence. I'm supposed to bring our daughter to her house tonight. What should I do?

    Posted: 05 May 2019 06:12 AM PDT

We have a signed agreement, where our daughter is at her house during the week and mine on the weekends. We've been planning on switching it this year, with her coming to my house during the week. She just started a new job, requiring her to work weekends, so she tried to change that plan. We have been arguing.

Last night, it came to a head. I was considering going to court, and getting full custody. She said something to the effect of "over my dead body." Considering her past of pointing guns at my head and threatening to kill me and my now partner, I asked her mom what happened to the guns I brought to her house a few years ago, after her latest charge.

This morning I woke up, and her mom had responded tell me that she'd given the guns back to her daughter last week, who told her she wasnt legally barred from owning them.

What can I do? She is not safe with firearms. Shes not legally allowed to own them.

    Edit: Virginia

    Edit:

She denied ever taking the guns and said her mom was lying.

I planned on calling police and informing them of the situation, and why I wasnt comfortable bringing her to see her mother with her past, her threat last night, and her having illegal posession of firearms.

Prior to contacting the police, her dad reached out to me and told me that she stored the guns in his safe, after taking then from her mother's house, because of something that happened with her younger brother. She didn't want to tell me, he presumed, because it would mean she had to admit to possession.

I'm taking my daughter to her house tonight, and we'll see where/how custody goes.

The concerning part to me was her having posession of firearms, her disposition towards violence, and her stated intent of my custody being 'over her dead body'. That concern has been alleviated.

[nyc] Landlord is sueing me because I did not pay rent

    Posted: 05 May 2019 07:14 AM PDT

Landlord is sueing/evicting me because I did not pay 2 months rent.

However, its not that I did not pay because I cant afford it, but simply because the landlord refused the check the past two months.

She refused because she got angry that we complained about the apartment conditions to 311 and HPD (A department which writes fines and orders landlords to fix stuff such as peeling paint, broken radiators, broken tiles, bedbugs, etc). And she wants us out.

To do that, she refused the checks and sued us/ started eviction.

What to do now? do I go to court date and just write the check for her in front of the judge?

Still have 10 months left on the lease

The cops told us we can’t be on our front lawn today. Is this legal? [NH]

    Posted: 05 May 2019 09:33 AM PDT

Me and my fraternity live in a house owned by a landlord. He only rents out the apartments to us.
Cinco De Mayo gets very insane at our school. And the cops want to control it as much as possible.

We never have had an issue with our front lawn and always took care of it. We usually just play volleyball and hang out. But today the cops knock on our door at 8am and tell us nobody is allowed on the front lawn, sober or not. Or we can get a huge fine or even arrested.

I feel as if this isn't legal because we haven't done anything wrong. Nobody was outside at that time and it doesn't make sense that even if we just played volleyball on our own front lawn then we can get in trouble.

can they legally say we can't be on our front lawn?

Someone Is Claiming They Live At Our Address

    Posted: 04 May 2019 02:09 PM PDT

Was not sure where to post this situation - so I am sorry if it is in the wrong spot.

Here is the situation - My husband and I built our house a few years ago on the outskirts of Portland, OR. We are the only ones that have EVER lived here ( since we built the house and the address was given to us) with no neighbors nearby. Address is not a typical address ( tons of numbers and unique name)

About 2 months ago we started to receive mail addressed to someone ( Daniel). The first thing to arrive was from the USPS saying welcome home ( it was that welcome packet when you change your address to a new address and the packet is sent to your address with tons of coupons). Clearly Daniel changed his address to our address. From that point on we receive about 4 - 5 pieces of mail a week ( no bills just junk mail).

With a little research I found Daniel ( he has a very unique last name) - he seems to be in his 60s in Phoenix, AZ. A mild interesting point is that about 8 years ago my husband and I lived in Phoenix, AZ for a short time ( 6 months) but not in the same part of town.

    What we have done -

We have written - return to sender that person does not live at residence. Mail keeps arriving.

We have talked to USPS - we told them the situation. They keep saying "OH it must be someone that previously lived there" --- unless he was living in a tent in a middle of a field no one lived at our address before us. They never seemed to understand our point.

SO we are trying to figure out why would someone change their address to our address. Is there any sinister reasons? Should be just ignore the mail? Should I try and reach out to Daniel?

    HOA Using Drones

    Posted: 04 May 2019 06:35 PM PDT

Recently our neighborhood has had a problem with drones flying over our fenced in yards and private property. The HOA sent out a news letter saying the drones are used to monitor the landscaping but I don't see how our private fenced in yards are their concern. I'm wondering if it's even legal for them to be flying drones over private property and what action the home owners can take. Edit: I Live in Colorado USA.

    Ex accusing me of pedophilia

    Posted: 05 May 2019 07:58 AM PDT

This is in Texas. Back in January Homeland Security came to my house under the suspicion I'd been downloading child porn (obviously wasn't). My fiancée left me a few days later. Homeland Security brought back all my devices on April 2nd and cleared me completely. This was never taken to trial, it was just an investigation that was dropped once they realized it wasn't me. Well, my pregnant ex was due on the 3rd but hasn't gone into labor yet.

Yesterday she texted me this: "Look, I'm not dumb. I had the sheriff, confirm that the child pornography was found. Because of that, you cannot be alone with Willow and you cannot be in the delivery room when she's born. No changing diapers or changing her or anything that requires her clothes to be off" "When Homeland Security seizes your stuff, they don't bring it back if you were cleared. Like when someone is arrested and they don't get their money back or anything after. So, you gave them info that they needed and in return they dropped your charge and gave your stuff back".

I went to the police about it, and yes the sheriff actually told her Homeland security found child porn on my hard drive. It just doesn't make any sense to me how these people think I'd 1. Not be in prison and 2. Have the hard drive back. Do I have anything to do about this? Now the police are spreading lies about me. I have a bunch of texts where my ex is harassing me calling me a pedophile and then she posts anti-pedophilia type stuff on Facebook after she harasses me.

Ex-boyfriend's dad and stepmom came to my house and stole my dog. Can I get my dog back and get them arrested?

    Posted: 04 May 2019 08:41 PM PDT

    Location: COLORADO

So, my ex-boyfriend and I adopted a dog together eight months ago with both our names. However, we broke up two months later and he abandoned the dog and never really actively tried to get him back. At the point, I was his sole and only caretaker. I changed the owner's name at the adoption center to mine, and I registered him under my name in my town.

My ex's dad and I spoke yesterday and he asked if I needed a place for my dog to live ( because I am moving into a no-pets apt in August). I said sure, if you want to take him for a few months. He then proceeds to tell me that he wont be keeping the dog, and that their family friend wants the dog. I tell him something along the lines of, "I'm not okay with that. I will keep the dog." He nods and agrees.

Fast forward to today, his dad told me he would drive to my house to pick up their old tv from my room. I was not home at the time and told my roommates not to let him in until I got home. They ended up letting him in and he and his wife claimed that they would take the dog for a walk, so my roommates agreed to the seemingly harmless proposal. One of my roommates told me that ten or so minutes later, everyone else left the house and my ex's dad and stepmom came knocking on the door again and said that they wanted to get the tv, so my roommate shows them up to my room and they get the tv (no biggie, this was agreed on).

So, what happens next is actually psychotic. They take the tv, slam the front door, put my dog in their car and drive off. I come home and realize the dog is gone, and I call one of my roommates (who left before I got home) and she tells me what happened.

I have firmly texted both my ex and his dad demanding my dog back and it has been over 8 hours since I sent the first texts.

Can I call the police on them and report the dad and stepmom for stealing my dog?? Will they get arrested?

Pharmacy not giving me my whole prescription, still charging me full amount

    Posted: 05 May 2019 09:04 AM PDT

    Location: Ohio

Hey guys, I take a medication the stops the buildup of spinal fluid that causes a whole slew of medical issues, it's call acetazolamide. Well last month my pharmacy shorted me twenty pills of my 60 pill prescription last month but still charged me the full amount saying that when I come to pick up my next prescription, they'll add it to the next months. Well this month they shorted me 4 pills so I only got the 56 of the 60 and still have not gotten the twenty that I'm missing. But again they still charged me the full amount.

I asked them why they haven't gotten me the rest of my medication and the pharmacist said she wasn't going to give me them because it threw off their schedule. Which confused me, why does their schedule matter? What if my medication is insulin and I need it but they messed up on their end and 'threw off their schedule'. I called my doctor while I was standing right in front of them and asked about the medications schedule and she said "you need to take it every day before breakfast and before dinner, there's not a time when you shouldn't be taking the medication" and I explained about the pharmacist and the doctor said she'd send a script for the 24 but that's all she could do about it. All of this conversation happened in front of the pharmacist on speaker phone...

So all in all I'm asking what I can do about it, I asked for a refund on the pills they didnt give me and she refused, so I asked for the pills I'm still owed including the 4 that I'm missing from the prescription I picked up 20 minutes ago and she also refused stating that I have to stick with the pill schedule.

Is there any agency I can contact about it or someone that would be able to step in and say hey this isn't right give them their medication?

[CA] Manager has been using employee tip money for refunds and other inconveniences

    Posted: 04 May 2019 04:06 PM PDT

Today one of my coworkers' cash registers was short of $20 and our manager took a $20 from our built up tip money to replace it. Last week, a lady complained about her food and demanded a refund, so my manager took the $8.79 from our tip jar to refund her.

Not only do things like this happen, my managers makes us clock out for "paid 10 minute breaks." If we don't, they will talk to us and give us warnings/write ups. I haven't gotten a paid 10 minute break since I've been working at this establishment. I will take the 10 min breaks, but am not getting paid for them. Every paycheck I'm short of over 2 hours because of 10 minutes everyday adding up.

If an employee stays over 5 hours without taking a lunch, my manager will edit our time punches so they don't have to pay us premium for not taking the lunch. It can be anywhere from 5, 15, or 45 minutes taken off of our punches. Also, this manager edits his own time punches. I have personally seen this myself. For example, if he comes to work at 10 or 11AM he will go on the system and edit it as he arrived at 9:00AM everyday. I open the store on my own, and he has not once arrived at 9:00AM. He usually gets there at 11 or 12.

There are many things happening that shouldn't be, and I just don't know how to report it. The company has a small owner and it is a franchise store, so I don't know if I should report to corporate or the labor board. what do i do?

    I broke into my apartment

    Posted: 05 May 2019 11:07 AM PDT

Me(24f) and my boyfriend(24m) moved into this apartment in Oklahoma City a few months ago. A few weeks ago we got locked out(his fault for leaving the keys). As I was calling a lock smith he used his credit card to try to jimmy the lock and surprisingly it opened in about 10 seconds. He was concerned and worried it opened with such ease but he's a tinkerer and good with mechanics so I thought it was luck+skill. I didn't think to much about until today when I got locked out and managed to jimmy the lock in five seconds flat. It worries me that someone could break into my house so easily. Is this the property managers responsibility to make sure the home is secure with proper locks? I can't afford to replace the locks.

Tl;dr Is it the property owners responsibly to fix useless lock?

My Dad recently discovered his biological father is his mother's former fertility doctor, who frequently used his own sperm to impregnate patients. What are the legal implications of this?

    Posted: 05 May 2019 01:17 PM PDT

A few months ago my Dad took a DNA test through Ancestry.com, and learned some surprising information. He discovered he has multiple half-siblings, none of which have any known biological relation to my family. Additionally, all of these half-siblings have many genetic links to a family which we will call the "Campbells". After some initial confusion, my Dad was contacted by one of his half-brothers who informed him he had also been baffled by these bizarre Ancestry.com results a few years ago and had been doing some research. What his half-brother discovered was a commonality between each of these half-siblings: all of their mothers, including my grandmother, had been receiving fertility care at the same University clinic in the late 1950s. The fertility doctor each of them had been consulting with was a man I will call "Dr. Campbell."

Presumably, Dr. Campbell was using his own sperm to inseminate female patients who had husbands with inviable sperm. This would explain the mysterious genetic connection each of the half-siblings has to the Campbell family, who are known descendants of Dr. Campbell. My family found a photo of Dr. Campbell, and my Dad even LOOKS like the man. Many of the half-siblings, including my Dad, have red hair like Dr. Campbell. My Dad thought he was half-German because his Father was from Germany, but he discovered he is actually mostly English-Scottish, like all the Campbells listed as his genetic relatives. Since making this discovery, my Uncle (Dad's brother) has also taken the DNA test with similar results: he has the same previously unknown half-siblings, all of whom are related to the Campbells.

My Grandma, Grandpa, and Dr. Campbell are all dead, so there is no way to ask them what happened. However, we have very real reason to believe my grandparents were unaware my Grandma was being inseminated with Dr. Campbell's sperm. My grandparents were extremely Catholic, and at the time using donor sperm was explicitly outlawed by the church and considered to be "pagan" and a form of adultery. We really do not think there is any way they would have consented to using donor sperm, much less the sperm of their fertility doctor, but as far as I can tell there is no real way to prove that.

Ironically, I am a healthcare provider working in OBGYN and fertility, so I understand all of the issues surrounding patient consent for medical procedures like donor insemination. However, I have no notion of the legal ramifications regarding a case like this. My Dad and his half-siblings are certainly experiencing emotional turmoil by realizing the men who raised them are not their biological fathers. Could a lawsuit be reasonably filed in a case like this, where the medical event happened in the 1950's and the involved parties (Dr. Campbell & my grandparents) are now deceased? What kind of charge would even be filed? What are the legal ramifications of this strange situation?

TL;DR: My dad recently took a DNA test and discovered his biological father is his mother's former fertility physician, from whom she received care in the late 1950's. Seemingly, this doctor used his own sperm to inseminate his patients without their consent. What are the legal implications of a situation like this?

Can a parent legally pick up medications for their adult child?

    Posted: 05 May 2019 11:33 AM PDT

My family has a long history of mental illness, and an equally long history of denying mental illness. After about a year and a half of pushing from a therapist from my college (which is free for me,) I finally went to see a psychiatrist, and was given Sertraline. I've been taking it for about four months, and it has really helped me. This appt. was done through my universities health building. The medicine itself was not free, but was surprisingly cheap so I have been paying for it out of pocket. However, I had to go home and could no longer pickup my medicine from the student health building, so I transferred the prescription to the pharmacy near my house. They contacted my mother that I had a prescription in, and she went to pick it up, unbeknownst to me, and got told a lot of inaccurate things from the pharmacist (that do not match up with what the psychiatrist told me.) My family is very upset. I never paid with her insurance so there should be no reason to tell her. Was this legal?

[CANADA] My dad smacked me [21F] on my butt in a heated argument and then laughed. I am disabled and have little to no movement from the waist down.

    Posted: 04 May 2019 08:40 PM PDT

So, I have just escaped an abusive household and my Dad is extremely homophobic and physically aggressive. Before I left to go to my new house, we got into a fight about me leaving in which he lifted me out of my scooter and smacked me on the bottom as if I were a child.

I know that this is definitely assault, but a friend of mine thinks that this would be classified as sexual assault. What do you think, Reddit? I'm really at a loss. I know he needs to be charged, but I'm just curious as to what they would classify this as.

[NE] downstairs neighbor SCREAMS at us through the floor when we're walking around, leasing office won't believe us. They issued us a 14/30 for disturbing him.

    Posted: 04 May 2019 07:58 PM PDT

The banging and absolute SCREAMING through the floor telling us to shut the fuck up throughout the evening and night has been going on 2 months now. About 2 weeks ago, the cops got involved. We were babysitting, and all we hear is: "you're all fucking dead. I'm going to come up right now and beat the complete fuck out of you." Child is terrified of "the bad man downstairs" so we call the cops. I believe his other neighbors came out to complain to the cops as well.

This last Thursday night, we had a total of 4 people in our apartment, sitting at a table speaking at normal volume. We hear him banging again, just 2 times. The next morning, we recieved a 14/30 because we're "disturbing or threatening the rights or safety of the tenant below." We spoke to all of our other neighbors (but not his yet), they have never heard a peep from us (or him unfortunately).

We have tried many times to resolve this issue with him in a civil manner. He refuses to speak to myself (female) or my female roommate. He demands to speak to our male roommate, usually calling us bitches and saying "you need to keep your women quiet."

Our leasing office refuses to listen to our side because "he's such a sweet, quiet old man" when he interacts with them. I don't know any other way to prove to them that he's nuts aside from recording his meltdowns and our interactions.

    So...

Is it legal to record him yelling through the floor? I saw in the FAQ that in Nebraska only one person needs to consent to being recorded. But what if they're in their own home or standing in their doorway during a conversation?

Landlord bait and switch with Unit lease, mid/high rent apartment in a nice area is bordering on unlivable

    Posted: 05 May 2019 09:34 AM PDT

So my wife and I are moving to a new area this summer for my medical school clinical rotations. We met the landlords 6 months prior when scouting apartments and the unit we were shown was well put together, clean, and fit what we were looking for. Not to mention it was in a good quiet area and while the rent for a 1Br/1Bth was on the high end for that area it was worth it we though.

So we paid the security deposit and signed the lease thinking we would get that specific apartment or something comparable. It is important to make note that my wife contacted the landlord multiple times via text/email/call with no response about seeing the specific unit we would be leasing.

You'll see why they didn't answer in a minute. For any new renters out there, if the only way to get an answer from your landlord is a passive aggressive email/text or an angry call or a call from a new number every time, do not rent from them.

What we got was an older but comparable unit, which isn't bad as on the surface as it was further away from the road, quiet, and near a dumpster with lots of parking. However the apartment is a literal nightmare bordering on unlivable:

    • footboards under the cabinet were missing, cracked, and loose. (major health issue as rats/snakes/bugs can get in here)

    • fridge leaking water due to a broken ice maker

    • 2,massive stains on the carpet, one is a very deep blue/purple in the bedroom like spilt wine/Kool-Aid

    • patchy paint job that looks like the previous tenant knocked holes in the walls, literally no pattern and covering every wall; not congruent with hanging pictures. It appears as if the owner just slapped plaster and an off color pain shade hoping we wouldn't notice or say anything.

    • missing vent/hole in the ceiling in the bathroom (again, rats)

    • unit is much smaller than the unit we were initially shown

    • tear in the carpet

    • needles in the carpet (from repairs from the previous tenant ripping the carpet I guess)

    • scuffs on the kitchen cabinets

    • apartment floors were covered in dirt and grime like they hadn't been mopped since before the last tenant moved out

There is probably more that we missed, but these were the most glaring. Upon seeing the apartment, we called the landlord immediately who ignored my fiancee's call and only answered mine because he didn't have my number on file. He seemed nice but his explanation for the shitty apartment we got was "I thought you all wanted to move in immediately so I just did something quick". He then offered to send a painter to cover up the shitty paint job this week. However he seems to be skirting any mention of the other repairs so I am unsure if he will repair them despite verbally agreeing to have everything fixed by the 20th when the rest of our furniture will be moved in.

The lease is intentionally vague about repairs, which we didn't think was an issue because we thought we were getting a move in ready unit and usually take good care of our appliances and living space. Basically all it says on repairs is we must notify the owners who then have 72 hours to arrange repairs and after 72 hours they are required to give an ETA and explanation for the delay. Aside from that we are still legally obligated to pay rent on this fucking hovel.

So what do we do? Because after dealing with these people for a month I already think that if anything breaks they will try to straight up ghost us. Which won't work because I'll call these assholes from a payphone out of state to get them to do their jobs.

Reported Sexual Harassment, got punished with a poor review and the review is being used to justify forcing me out.

    Posted: 05 May 2019 08:19 AM PDT

I work for a National drug store chain. Over the last few years there has been an issue with a shift lead and a cashier having an inappropriate relationship. I won't go as far as day they're having an affair, but they behave and speak inappropriately especially in front of me because it makes me uncomfortable. There is also an older woman who talks in graphic detail about her post divorce sex life. Ive gone to my manager about it and her response was usually something like "there's nothing I can do about it" or "you're the only person who said anything so I don't need to do anything about it"

So I haven't liked my job in a few years. I still do my job to the best of my ability, and treat my coworkers and customers with respect and a positive attitude but whenever we have to give dumb "employee happiness" scores I'm always honest and give low numbers. This kicked off the "what can I do to make you happier" talks my boss would have with me. The tldr of these talks is her telling me there's nothing she can or will do about the problem.

Cut to last September, where I got a bad performance review. My first bad review in the ten years I've worked there. The key part of the review, where I took the hit, was a line about how I don't speak favorably enough about my coworkers when I'm talking with management. I called bullshit on the review and was told that "this is the review, management stands by it and there is no more to the discussion." I called my district manager and told her about how I felt I was being treated unfairly and retaliated against and she said that she would look into it but know that it was a long process. I haven't heard anything since.

A few weeks ago I was called into the office and told that because of budget cuts they needed to eliminate one person from our store and because of my poor review last year I was the person who needed to go. When I brought up that my review my manager said "we're not here to discuss that" and when I brought up that I was a long term employee and there were people who were still on their probationary period I was told "we're not here to discuss other people." I was told my options were to transfer to another store in our district that was an hour drive both ways for an amount of hours that wouldn't justify the cost of gas and if I chose not to go there it was considered a voluntary resignation and I would be let go at the end of May.

I called HR and I've, frankly, been blown off by them.

So now I don't know what to do and I'm wondering if it would even be worth it to get a lawyer and try to fight for something. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know if it's because the economy is good or the channels I'm searching through, but I'm having trouble finding people to do manual labor for $15/hr that aren't addicts or alcoholics. I want to put on my ad that I drug test, but I don't want to scare away any hard working stoners. Is there a way I can achieve this? If it matters, I don't plan on drug testing anyone at all. It only want to put it on my ad to weed out applicants that use the hard stuff.

[Canada] My psychotherapist is refusing to give me access to my records! Should I get a lawyer?

    Posted: 05 May 2019 01:00 PM PDT

We terminated a month ago and I've been emailing her to give me my records and a treatment report. She first told me all of my records were gone due to computer malfunction and ignored my other request for the report. Then I emailed her saying I need a summary of the records if everything is lost and a treatment report for the last 2 years with her. It's been 2 weeks now and she hasn't replied to me yet. I feel she's ignoring me.

I'm aware that they don't share this stuff if they believe it's going to harm the client but she just doesn't give a shit about since she terminated with me unethically (confirmed by board of ethics).

What should I do? Would hiring a lawyer help?

I really want my papers so I can share it myself with with whoever I want e.g. a new therapist or a doctor

Psychiatrist says I cannot see my own medical records

    Posted: 05 May 2019 09:13 AM PDT

First, I want to say I am asking for my psychiatric MEDICAL records. I know I cannot access the doctor's personal notes. I just want my records of diagnoses, medication changes, appointment summaries. I am in Alabama.

I was recently dumped by my psychiatrist of 3 years for missing an appointment (another issue). This left me in quite a bind because he was prescribing me several drugs that cannot be stopped abruptly due to my epilepsy and high seizure risk. I was able to get my neurologist to write me short-term prescriptions for these drugs until I can find another psychiatrist, which I haven't been able to do yet. I called my former doctor and asked to receive my records from him. The receptionist told me unequivocally that they could not release any records to me whatsoever. I would have to have my records sent to a new psychiatrist, and even then I wouldn't be allowed to view them, only the doctor. This didn't seem right, and some preliminary research seems to support my feeling that this doctor is not allowed to withhold these records from me. I called back twice, to clarify I only wanted records, not personal notes, but the receptionist would not entertain any discussion whatsoever. She maintained that I as a patient cannot receive these records myself in any way, I can only have them sent to a new doctor. What can I do? I will get a new doctor soon, but I feel I have the right to see these records and that I am being lied to.

    Thank you for any input!

Noisy neighbour is on one more warning, I just got video footage.

    Posted: 05 May 2019 10:34 AM PDT

I have been living next to an apartment that at times like 1am-5am will make the most horrible noise. For so long I thought it was sawing and hammering, I only had audio footage. We have sliding back glass doors and if you have your curtains open you can see in. Tonight I opened mine and sure enough, you could see the curtains were open. I got brave.

I carefully stepped on the gravel to move my camera just over enough to peek in and see what they were doing. There is a guy meticulously vacuuming every part of of the floor, furniture, everything at 2am.

My question is: how illegal is it that I peeked my camera over, in the communal back area to show what was happening? It is a shared back area so if I was walking I could see it as clear as I filmed it, I was just trying to not be seen.

I have been exhausted at work, he has been given so many warnings, the next one was going to be the landlord physically visiting.

    This in Japan.
