Amazon is working on Project Kuiper, which would put 3,236 satellites into orbit to provide high-speed internet to any point on the globe.

"You can see the clear profit motive here for Amazon: 4 billion new customers," Space Angels CEO Chad Anderson said.

CNBC spoke to more than a dozen space industry analysts and executives about Amazon's proposal and the customers, competitors and costs involved.

2019 is poised to be a hot year for IPOs. With ride-sharing company Lyft kicking things off, investors are anxiously awaiting other highly anticipated unicorns' IPOs such as Uber, Airbnb, SpaceX, Pinterest, Slack and a handful of others expected to run out of the gate this year. Looking back on the past decade, these are the top 10 U.S. IPOs based on valuation at the time of debut, not including underwriter over-allotment.

    Tractor Supply Co. insiders selling

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 01:46 PM PDT

Seems like a lot of the higher ups disposed shares on Thursday and Friday (stock reached ATH). Am I reading this correctly?

    https://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/tsco/sec-filings

I get the transactions may have been made pursuant to 10b5-1 plans, but at least in the case of the CEO, the plan was made February 11, 2019. Seems suspect.

    ODP opinions

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 01:32 PM PDT

Hey guys, I'm a new trader and am trying to determine if ODP is a good buy once it stops dropping. ODP was trading at 3.75 until just a few days ago when it rapidly fell to its current price of about 2.75 due to a poor quarterly earnings report. From my amateur analysis, this drop seems much more rapid than those in the stocks history. RSI is obviously showing oversold, but MACD doesn't seem to show signs of a reversal quite yet.

Do you guys think this is an over reaction that will correct relatively soon? When the stock begins to stabilize and shows upward potential, is this a good buy for a swing position? I'm trying to learn, and would love to hear any insight you guys have about this situation.

    V or MA

I'm looking to make a sizable buy of one of these two stocks the next time there is a market correction / pullback. Which should I go with, Visa or MasterCard or perhaps a similar stock I'm not aware of, and why? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

    AR (Augmented Reality)

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 09:22 AM PDT

So.... I am pretty new to trading stocks but lately I've had thoughts of what could be the next HUGE thing in 5 years (so I can get in with a proper entry point) AR seemed to stick wit me due to the vast applications and its practical uses as we evolve into the crazy future of the world.

QUESTION: Is this a smart play to put some money into some that are showing positive growth since their listing or are there better stocks to play as a newbie?, maybe help build my portfolio up stronger before I try to find the next big thing.

Here is an excerpt from an article I was reading awhile back. So its a little dated but the projections should still remain close to the same.

"As for the market potential of AR, it is enormous. According to ResearchAndMarkets.com, the spending is projected to jump from $11.14 billion in 2018 to $60.55 billion by 2023, representing a compound annual growth rate of 40%."

Thank you in advance for any replies :)

    First time investing (suggestions)

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 04:58 AM PDT

    Greetings everyone,

I'm not sure if this is even allowed on this subreddit.

But I've saved some money over the last year or so. I'm looking to invest them in stocks, for the first time in my life.

I've tried reading a ton and have followed this subreddit for a few weeks, but I'm still very unsure about how to invest the money.

I got about 4-5000$ to start of with.

I've been looking at a few companies:

    SWKS

    NVDA

TSLA (I know people don't like this here)

    GOOGL

I know it very tech heavy, but not sure what else to look into.

Let me know what you folks think and if you have any suggestions for a newbie like me.

Hope this post doesn't violate any rules of this subreddit, if so then I'm sorry :)

    Foreign Football Club Investment

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 12:05 PM PDT

    Hi All,

Quick question about buying foreign football club shares (writing from the US). I'm interested in purchasing shares of football clubs traded publicly on foreign markets, such as Juventus (Borsa Italiana), BVB (Frankfurt exchanges), etc. What would be the easiest and most cost-efficient way to do so from the U.S.? Is this even possible without breaking the bank on commission/international fees?

    Thanks--

    Wyckoff technique anyone?

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 01:16 AM PDT

I was following up on a list of recommended reading someone posted a few months back and read about Wyckoff technique. I am not a fan of technical analysis and see it mostly as reading chicken entrails or astrology but the accumulation/distribution campaign theory did spark my interest.

Is the "composite man" paradigm still applicable 80 years latwr in the age of algo trading and HFTS ? Is it even more applicable now?

Interested from feedback from anyone applying this technique to stocks. Does determining the campaign phase devolve into subjective line reading or is it actually useful to some extent?

    Daily Profits

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 09:39 AM PDT

I've been trading with paper money for the past month and I'm making between 4 to 7 percent daily (each day I reinvest what I make the day before). I'm trying to perfect my system in the upcoming months before moving to real money.

Any tips to increase my daily profits? Thanks

Anybody with a stock market tattoo?

Did something special ever happen to you in the stock market you've decided to get a tattoo about it? Anybody with a bear/bull tattoo? Ticker symbols? Formula?

    I'm just curious.

    Apple's balance sheet clarification.

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 12:21 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I see a lot of people say that Apple has 250 billion in cash however, on the balance sheet it says Apple only has ~26 mil in cash. Can someone confirm where this 250 billion figure is coming from? Or maybe my accounting skills just aren't that great?

NUA tax advantage 401k company stock / Post lump distribution strategy

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 07:55 PM PDT

I have started a career at a company with very solid company stock. I would say most people in this sub own it as well, one way or another. Hint, I work in Seattle. That being said, I plan to own and keep buying a large amount of company stock in my 401k specifically to take advantage of NUA tax rules. My question is, what would be the ideal strategy for post NUA lump sum distribution into my taxable account. Presumably this would wipe out my entire 401k at age 59.5. Now what? Hold? Sell in small chunks annually? Sell all and man up on capitol gains hit - then what? Where should that money go?

    Stockrow data

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 06:34 PM PDT

I was on stock row looking up ROIC, for SYK specifically and I double checked it elsewhere because I am new to the site.

The ROIC values were different . Why is this? Am i misunderstanding something, or is the site wrong.

I got 18.33% from morningstar, and 7.98% from stockrow and 23.91 from guru focus.

I am just looking for accurate roic for 10 years any thoughts

I am interested in your views on Under Armor...

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 06:21 PM PDT

To me it seems like this is a company that is trying everything it can and is still coming up short. They have cleaned up a lot of their issues i.e. more controlled inventory but it doesn't seem like it's getting a lot of support and it's showing in their stock. Your thoughts? I do not have any positions in UA; i'm considering taking on a small amount but I am on the fence.

    Stock buyback question

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 04:01 PM PDT

Why do companies do buybacks at the peak of the markets before a bear? wouldn't it make sense to buy when at a discount?
