Financial literacy doesn't mean becoming a guru or all of a sudden knowing how to save or invest. To help someone get on the road to literacy it can be as simple as understanding what a Mutual Fund is or how to set savings goals. I have three young children and my goal this month is to just educate them on what the different types of investments are. That's it. Not how to invest, just helping them understand that there are things that people invest in.
