Posted: 25 Mar 2019 08:10 AM PDT https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-stores-threatened-by-cashless-trend-2019-3 Stores that do not accept cash are on the rise, from quick-service lunch spots to Amazon's Go stores. Not accepting cash can speed up lines and make life easier for card-carrying consumers. But a backlash has grown, as the cashless trend leaves out lower-income customers who may not have a bank account. Massachusetts, Philadelphia, and New Jersey have already barred stores from rejecting cash as payment, and New York City and San Francisco are considering similar measures. This could affect the growth of Amazon's physical stores, which do not accept cash. [link] [comments] |

It announced a new $9.99 tier of the Apple News app called Apple News+ that includes magazine content. Apple also said it would release its own credit card, called Apple Card. Posted: 25 Mar 2019 07:00 AM PDT TSLA is getting pretty close to it's support. Is it time to enter with a $315-$320 price target? I'm fairly new to trading so I'm just looking for some input on this idea. [link] [comments] |
Intel: Innovation Requires Originality Posted: 25 Mar 2019 10:43 AM PDT "If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Nvidia must think very highly of us. Based on the information that has been made available, it is clear Nvidia's leaders have continued their pattern of imitation as their so-called "first-of-its-kind" safety concept is a close replica of the RSS model we published nearly two years ago" Disclosure: I am Long INTC [link] [comments] |
I wanna invest in artificial intelligence Posted: 25 Mar 2019 12:57 PM PDT Hey all, this might not be a good question but I really believe artifical intelligence is gonna be more and more valuable in the next few years. I want to invest in it, any advice? Is there an etf or should I pick a few individual stocks? I am not really looking to create a portfolio, I just wanna use some extra cash I have to invest in that trend. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Shorting UK stocks - which platform do you use? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 06:11 AM PDT I've been taking positions on US stocks for a few years (using etoro) but am now looking to explore a few UK shares i think worth shorting (some of which are quite niche (eg Moss Bros tomorrow). Which platform do you guys use to short UK shares and would you recommend? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
General advice for when to sell stocks Posted: 25 Mar 2019 11:50 AM PDT I am 20 and have been investing for a little over 2 years now. I buy a lot of stock, and have done pretty well so far at that. I struggle with deciding when to sell. A couple times I have had stocks jump up significantly, and then drop again. I am usually left stuck with the feeling of regret after they drop back down. I know that a large portion of deciding when to sell is being very familiar with what the company is doing, and how the stock market is behaving in general. I invest in about 10 different companies, and try to diversify as much as possible, but the issue is, it is difficult for me to keep up with my studies and leisurley activities and staying up to date with all of the companies I invest in. A few of these companies are more long term juggernauts, but I also have a good amount of money in more volatile stocks. How do you guys decide when to sell. Is there a trend I should be looking for? Do I go off of gut instinct? Or do I just need to suck it up and devote more time to staying up to date with the stock market world? [link] [comments] |
DarioHealth Reports Fourth Quarter and Year End 2018 Record Results Posted: 25 Mar 2019 06:05 AM PDT Financial Highlights
"Throughout 2018, we continued our pioneering role in the burgeoning field of digital therapeutics. We had a number of significant achievements including the introduction of service oriented offerings in the form of membership plans (PMPM), our increase in sales as we shifted to a membership recurring revenue model, improving the average revenue per user (ARPU), obtaining regulatory clearances, and the publication of clinical data evidencing the benefit of our product offerings. We are looking forward to an exciting year in 2019, Q1 is progressing well and we expect continued growth," said Erez Raphael, Chief Executive Officer of DarioHealth. [link] [comments] |
Don't upvote just need to know what this indicator is called Posted: 25 Mar 2019 12:55 PM PDT There is a guy who gets a lot of his calls right but he never answers questions about his TA. It's the red and blue vertical lines. [link] [comments] |
Any hope for Dropbox to escape its doldrums? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 11:54 AM PDT I bought into this in the high twenties on what seemed like a dip at the time. I know that rumor is Amazon will kill by virtue of competing in the same space, but people have cried that for numerous cloud and retail stocks and it's hardly tautological. Revenue growth isn't the problem. [link] [comments] |

Nasper's spinning off Tencent+other holdings into Euronext listing. Posted: 25 Mar 2019 10:36 AM PDT https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/25/investing/tencent-naspers-amsterdam/index.html "Naspers would float 25% of the shares in the new business, which it said would become "Europe's largest listed consumer internet company." What does this mean for existing investors of NPSNY? Will ~25% of the value of my NPSNY holdings be exchanged for shares in the new holding? [link] [comments] |
Best stocks to short for the long term Posted: 25 Mar 2019 09:29 AM PDT If you had to short some stocks for the long run (one year), what are your top choices and why? My money is on $SNAP and $GME SNAPCHAT, $SNAP - Everyone I know has moved on to Instagram and no one is using snapchat anymore. I'm even considering uninstalling it from my phone GAMESTOP, $GME - I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon and Best buy continues taking market share from game stop and with electronic games purchases being more convenient, physical copies are getting less popular over time. I don't see how game stop is being innovative to tackle any of these problems. [link] [comments] |
Question about the stocks market, are them worldwide? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 09:00 AM PDT So recently I got interested in the stocks market (I dont really have any money to invest but still im very interested in it and would like to learn about/understand it). So to my question, by worldwide I mean can I buy stocks from companies that arent in my country? Or are the stocks only sold locally (and by locally I mean same country). I can try to clarify the post if needed, not a native english speaker. Edit: I dont know but I feel like Global would be a better term instead of worldwide idk. [link] [comments] |
Buying stocks. Should i buy in my local Stock Exchange or NYSE/NASDAQ? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 08:13 AM PDT Living in Israel, originally from Greece. What difference does it make to me if i buy from NYSE instead of TASE(Tel-aviv)? [link] [comments] |
Can anyone explain me options simply? Posted: 25 Mar 2019 03:38 AM PDT i don't really understand how options can make more money than trading. i'm new to the market and have made 10% profit in two weeks just by buying and selling but i've read that you can make more with options but i don't understand them. when you buy an option you pay a premium to get 1 call or 1 put which is 100 stocks right? but the premium is like a lot cheaper than the stock itself so how do you make more profit on that than if you just buy the stock and sell it? i don't get it...
