I'm in my late-teens and I just realized I know absolutely nothing about bussiness, where do I Start?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2019 01:54 PM PST

I'm particularly interested in corporation structures, its policies, laws regarding what is allowed and what is corruption.

I just don't know where to start. Do I start learning finance or economics or something to have a better understanding.

What books or papers should I read.

Is it possible to sell a new product without a patent?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2019 12:40 PM PST

I hope I'm asking in the right place.

I have no business background, and I work in a laboratory. I know a bit of economics.

I have an idea that I know would sell. I went to a patent office. He said that I wouldn't be able to patent it but I could be an early starter in the market.

I'm worried I can't keep the product profits because a companies could easily take it.

Would it be worth it to try and sell something if I can't patent it? Do you think it''s worth the time investment to try?
