Feel like apple doesn't have much more room for growth...

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 01:24 PM PST

I'm debating buying in AAPL at 165 today, but I'm wondering if apple is trying to becoming more of a "Service- based" company. Though its new services are based on their previous products, and practically every other area of the business has grown in revenue, could it be that there isn't much more room for growth? I mean.. what else can this company really do? I feel like their only avenues are create much more affordable financing for everyone, provide revolutionary services that put competitors to shame... OH and trump doesn't fuck up with china l o l. Thoughts?

    EA Stock

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 08:51 AM PST

Do you think it is a time to sell? I am looking at a long term hold. Will the company ever reach the 130$ plus mark or would it be better to get it now? I have read conflicting reports. I know that EA is a hated stock by many consumers but I do not know how much the consumers who actively hate EA make up the consumer base. Will they thrive long term off of their strong financial base and sports games or are they in trouble? Any advice would be appreciated.

Any thoughts on Keyera ($KEY on the TSX)?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 12:35 PM PST

Since the dip of oil last year and then drop in the stock market hit I've seen Keyera go from CAD$40s to mid to high CAD$20s for their stock price. They fractionate and store gas for other clients, so the dip seems a bit unjustified. Plus they have an annual dividend of ~6.6% paid out monthly. I'm just curious if others are seeing a safe company here or if anyone else sees a major downside.

Why do some companies have millions of shares at low prices while others have much few shares at significantly higher prices?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 08:16 AM PST

For example Berkshire Hathaway has just 1.65million shares but each share is $306,000 whereas Amazon have 489million shares at a much more reasonable $1,641. Then VISA has 2.2billion shares at an even more reasonable $135.

All of these companies have hundreds of billions of dollars market capitalisation so why the huge discrepancy in shares issued?

What benefit, if any, is there to issuing more or less shares?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 10:11 AM PST

I currently have RH and I'm reading a lot of sketchy things going on from the subreddit. I was wondering which is the best app to use for stocks?

Whats your guys take on QCOM these days

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 12:10 AM PST

Things are getting towards the hotzone between Apple and QCOM. The FTC appears to have a decent case, at least some sites would paint this picture, yet I have read some comments as well saying its utter bulls*** and Apple has no chance. In the end noone will know for sure what will happen, but what do you think? Lets discuss

What are your favorite defensive stocks?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 06:25 AM PST

I'm looking to tweak my portfolio into a bit more of a defensive position and wanted to hear some opinions. I bought a few shares of McDonald's a few months ago for this reason, and am currently looking into Waste Management also.

    A serious question.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2019 06:09 AM PST

    Please no trolling or silliness.

    News articles.

I have a fairly large stake in a company called catalyst pharmaceuticals ($CPRX). They have finally gained FDA approval on their first drug called Firdapse, so I decided to take a position with them.

It has been a rocky, yet fairly stable road with this company; the stock has remained at a consistent price.

I have been seeing news articles titled something to the effect of "who is buying $cprx shares?" Or something extremely similar with different wording. Why would multiple DIFFERENT news companies write almost the EXACT SAME article?

Is it because of competition? Is it because there is something going on? (The news is relatively good in all cases, that the public owns most of the company.)

    Im so curious.
