Do you need a broker to invest? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 02:53 PM PST Question is in the title. I'm only in high school but looking to start putting money into a portfolio (about $300 a month). I had previously thought I could purchase investments and manage my portfolio on my own, without a middleman, but it's becoming increasingly clear a broker is essential. Is this the case? If so, what are fees like and do you have to call the broker to make an investment? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
