Purchased first vendor booth at conference - 30 days to prep - any tips? Posted: 23 Dec 2018 11:18 AM PST Hi, I'm the co-founder of a 1-year-old cyber security startup. We've purchased a "sponsorship" of a local conference related to cyber security. The sponsorship comes with 1 ticket to a "CXO VIP Dinner" that happens the night before the conference, and 2 tickets to the conference itself, along with a booth (a 6 foot table) in the vendor hall of the conference. Does anyone have tips for decorating the table (and its environs) as well as any swag or brochures or other things we should bring to the conference? Any advice on printing banners or curtains or other things like that to help make our vendor booth look professional? Any tips for what we should do at the conference? Both founders will attend. We're not presenting at the conference. One idea: collect business cards and hold a draw at end of conference for 1 free license (1 year) for our product. It's a B2B software security tool that we sell for $19K/year (USD). [link] [comments] |
Angel investor/ Vent0ure Capitlist/ Seeding round Posted: 23 Dec 2018 02:01 PM PST I'm trying to find an investor for my app and wondering how that process goes? The app I created pays users whenever they play pickup sports like basketball football or soccer at any gym or park. This is possible without sponsors because of the way the app works and lets users earn. The app is built like a video game which are the top earners in the app store. Being structured like a video game allows us to retain users and keep them on the app which drives up and revenue significantly. I have my investor memo, pitch deck, and business plan ready. In terms of finding an accredited investor, how does the process usually play out? Aside from angel.co, and sites like LinkedIn are their some places or sites that I might be missing? Is it a matter of networking on LinkedIn and other sites? Or does it usually happen another way? Really needing some advice or outlook on this one! Thank you [link] [comments] |
