    squarespace or wordpress or?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 11:30 PM PST

I'm building my dad a site but im not sure which program is best for a small business in terms of accommodation, easy-ness to build and price wise? he's a small private contractor, so were not doing anything in e-commerce. Wondering which is better square space or wordpress? or any other options? Preferably one that lets us sync up with google analytics and works well online as well.

I'm okay with code more of a learn as you go type girl, and i do website management but i never built a large interactive website before so id prefer something thats easier to use. also not looking to hire someone because that costs too much and the guy who made my dads last website was actually dumb af so idk if he is willing to trust outsiders again lol

    thanks in advance!

Angel investor/ Venture Capitlist/ Seed Funding

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 02:13 PM PST

I'm trying to find an investor for my app and wondering how that process goes?

The app I created pays users whenever they play pickup sports like basketball football or soccer at any gym or park. This is possible without sponsors because of the way the app works and lets users earn. The app is built like a video game which are the top earners in the app store. Being structured like a video game allows us to retain users and keep them on the app which drives up and revenue significantly.

I have my investor memo, pitch deck, and business plan ready. In terms of finding an accredited investor, how does the process usually play out?

Aside from angel.co, and sites like LinkedIn are their some places or sites that I might be missing?

Is it a matter of networking on LinkedIn and other sites? Or does it usually happen another way?

Really needing some advice or outlook on this one! Thank you

Offering free Excel help / analysis

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 07:48 AM PST

I am proficient in analysing large data sets due to my day job, and I am thinking of providing a service for people who aren't as skilled in Excel as me - or simply don't have the time.

I'm looking to explore this for free for small businesses, so I can gain some exposure and experience and see if this is a business / service I'd like to develop.

I have experience in bookkeeping / accounting, but I am used to analysing a variety of different types of data.

In exchange for helping you, I'd like some of your time to understand you / your situation - so I can build up an idea of what my potential clients could be like.

Feel free to comment / PM me with a project you have in mind, and we can go from there.
