Questions about six sigma. Seeking advice Posted: 27 Dec 2018 12:54 AM PST Right now I work in quality assurance for a large distributer, but I take on a lot of projects and help develope reports for my senior leadership. I work basic DPMO calculations and build reports around them. I want to move up in my company and have thought about at least taking the course to get my white belt certification. The only college I have is an Associates in culinary but it focused heavily on management and leadership. What steps would you recommend to bolster a resume? Aside from the resume, what would be a great way to gain the knowledge to prove my value? Should I try to take the courses for green, yellow, black, or do those have individual focuses that aren't necessary for everyone? Going back to college right now is kind of out of the question but taking short courses is viable, and money for the courses isn't a huge issue at the moment. [link] [comments] |

Tips for Discount Negotiations Posted: 26 Dec 2018 11:44 PM PST Hi, I've been trying to educate myself about day-to-day business affairs lately, and I realised I don't actually know to secure a volume discount. Or a cash discount. So far the only concrete thing I've found online is to offer to increase the advance/deposit in exchange for a reduction in overall price. Are there any other tactics or strategies that one could use? I'm not really sure of this is the right subreddit, and I'm sorry if it isn't. [link] [comments] |

Short Seller Citron Research turns from skeptic to a major bull on Facebook Posted: 26 Dec 2018 10:39 AM PST (Reuters) - Short-seller Citron Research on Wednesday backed Facebook Inc, saying the stock could hit $160 in 2019 as the company's revenue and user base have seen little impact from the reported data scandals and privacy issues this year. Shares of the social network rose as much as 4.4 percent to $129.57 after Citron's report. They are down 28 percent this year. "We believe investors will be rewarded by the shift of user behavior to Instagram shopping and the personalization of the commerce process," according to Citron's research note https://citronresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Citron-Research-Backing-Up-the-Sleigh-on-Facebook.pdf. Citron said Facebook has come a long way, turning the short-seller from a "one-time skeptic to a major bull". "As investors have become overly concerned about the short-term noise of privacy and propaganda, they have forgotten to look at the earnings power and potential of the most advanced advertising tool with global reach in messaging, networking, and the future of shopping," the short-seller said.
