Posted: 21 Nov 2018 06:58 AM PST Okay so this is a bit of a doozy: My Uncle purchased 17 shares of Microsoft back in 2008, and issued them to me. I received a certificate of this and, given that i was 13 at the time, that was the end of that. I recently found the share certificate but have absolutely no idea what to do from here. I've called Microsoft's broker agent, as well as the NYS comptrollers office for assistance, but nothing has proved fruitful. To make matters more complicated, my uncle passed away in 2012.
