Can someone explain what happens when a company buys another? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:23 PM PDT I believe there are different types of acquisitions that can be undergone, I think sometimes a company will liquidate the other and only take things it needs from the purchased company i.e. new tech. But with the example of something like Tencent buying Riot games and such, where there is no noticeable difference from the perspective of the consumer. What actually happened, How is the purchaser benefiting from this transaction. Like a larger company gives a bunch of money to the smaller company in exchange for what exactly? submitted by /u/Industrial_Fish [link] [comments] |
