OLED just rose 13% (german market) in response to apple declaring it will go all oled in 2018. Posted: 29 May 2018 05:45 AM PDT This in addition to a half year performance of -47,44% in stockprice and a PE of 42,05 and forward PE of 29,13 and a 52-week high over 200 while it being at $100 ATM. I think this stock might turn bullish once again. Your thoughts on oled in the near future (3 to 6 months)? [link] [comments] |
[8 months ago] "My dad has $1.8 million dollars worth of GE. What should he do?" "Leave him be..." Posted: 28 May 2018 02:37 PM PDT This was posted a while back when the TOP comment encouraged OP's dad to leave his entire retirement in GE. It has fallen over 50+% since... A reminder to not place all your eggs in one basket, even if it's a safe dividend stock. Can't imagine starting retirement and this happens [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 May 2018 01:08 PM PDT So I was on here sometime earlier this month, looking for advice on options. I know a little bit and have the gist of it but was curious in learning more. Someone else had posted a question on it so I was reading all the responses. One comment was this, "All you need to know about options is this, MU $70 call exp 7/20." I just want you to know, for some reason without hesitation I bought that damn thing and now I'm sitting at about 400% return on it. I just wanted to say thanks. [link] [comments] |
Is this dip a good time to buy BAC (Bank of America)? Posted: 29 May 2018 01:01 PM PDT I've been looking into BAC for a while, and now that the market is dipping due to Italy & Spain concerns, I wonder if this is a good buy opportunity. Also higher interest rates are on the rise, or so I've heard. Any other buys that I could research would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 May 2018 11:09 AM PDT With that valuation its not hard to see 30% or 40% upside to a PE of 14. There have been some concerns about the recent changeover at the top as Li Ka-shing has passed control to his son but his son has been involved in the business for 30 years and any of his reported statements seem reassuring and shareholder friendly. This post is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or derivative. Stocks are not suitable for all investors. Please do your own research. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 May 2018 11:45 AM PDT I've been following this stock for quite a while, going in and out many times, will this company keep going up or it's close to the end of the road? I understand the the cloud business is going strong in the past year, but also the product New Relic offers has many alternatives. Is this a good long term investment or they will be crushed by their competitors in the near future? [link] [comments] |
What are some stocks with highly volatility that you can flip quick? Posted: 29 May 2018 11:41 AM PDT I'm looking for more stocks to widen my portfolio with that have high and quick volatility with a proven track record. For me I was flipping CHK (before its recent big pop), and I found the sweet limits at 3.02 (buy) and 3.16 (sell). I was able to do this almost twice a week and make a quick $50 each time. I also do this with INSY too. Do you guys have any stocks like this that have almost guaranteed sweet spots to limit buy/sell at? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 May 2018 11:04 AM PDT I am looking at the Barchart Trader's Cheatsheet for AMD and am curious what the letters and colors mean (R,S,TP). Thank you. [link] [comments] |
Revenue streams of the 5 big tech companies Posted: 29 May 2018 05:26 AM PDT Graph of this issue: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DeU2yZkX4AE-Hwz.jpg As earnings season continues, one thing is becoming clear: tech is king. Coming into Q1 releases, conventional wisdom was that sectors such as energy and financials would be the big winners. Tech, on the other hand, had largely led the moves down over the last couple of months, and was not often mentioned as a place to be. Energy earnings are, as expected, showing tremendous growth, which is hardly surprising if you so much as glance at a chart showing oil prices, while early in the season most financial firms did reveal the expected increase in trading profits. The headline grabbers, however, have been in tech, and especially big tech. The big four, Facebook (FB), Amazon (AMZN), Netflix (NFLX), and Google (GOOGL), collectively known as the FANG stocks, have all reported EPS beats, ranging from a penny in the case of Netflix to a massive 168% upside surprise from Amazon. Now that we have all their earnings, it is time to take stock, if you'll forgive the pun. Do you think these 5 stocks will continue to be good investments? [link] [comments] |
Does anyone have a clue why ttoo just dropped? Posted: 29 May 2018 08:51 AM PDT |
Posted: 29 May 2018 08:33 AM PDT Hello. i'm looking for somewhere in stock market that i can store my reserve money. which is potential money to buy stocks soon or later. i don't want to take risk with this money. so i found $BIL or SPDR US 1-3 month t bills ETF. my question is that will it be safe unless there's a interest rate gets down? and what's my expected return for having this ETF and do i have to pay tax too? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Traders that use Technical Analysis Posted: 29 May 2018 07:27 AM PDT I have been investing in stocks for 4-5 years now and I am looking getting into a little trading now as well so I have a few questions. Why do you chose to trade instead of invest long term? How did you learn to trade? Any books or websites do you recommend to learn technical analysis? What broker do you use/prefer? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Kinder Morgan is going to be built! Posted: 28 May 2018 07:51 PM PDT Just announced on the cbc! http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trans-mountain-announcement-coming-1.4681662 [link] [comments] |
Best buys in the Brazilian stock market given the recent political scandal? Posted: 28 May 2018 08:51 PM PDT Had a friend from Brazil over and he was talking about how his brazilian stocks were tanking due to political scandal. Checked out the iShares MSCI Brazil Capped ETF (EWZ) and it lost about 13% in a single day recently. I'm sure Petrobras and other companies are feeling it as well. Anyone know any good Brazilian companies that we can get on the cheap due to this political scandal? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 May 2018 03:53 PM PDT How does everyone feel about the opportunity presented by MMM's recent down trend? As far as I can tell, revenue continues to grow in multiple domains of their business. Il be establishing a position at some point in the next couple of days. [link] [comments] |
Are all comparable index funds created equal? Posted: 28 May 2018 02:32 PM PDT Currently I buy SCHB since transactions are free. As my balance grows I'm considering if I should diversify into other similar funds such as SPY, VOO, VTI. Is this necessary? Is it a concern that one brokerage might go under and I lose all my money? Am I diversified enough if I pick just one of these funds? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 May 2018 03:14 AM PDT I am in stocks for over 3 years. Student in Europe who is investing for the future offcourse. Normally i wo'nt touch my stocks at all. I divided them into the tech, food, materials etc. Just index funds. Today i decided to sell them, for me the market feels like it's gonna drop anytime soon. I will definitely be wrong and the market will continiue to climb (it always does when i sell something). But right now i'm a bit more relieved then i was keeping the stocks. Also curious what the more experienced traders/holders here are doing at this point. Let me know :) [link] [comments] |
Opinions on buying military/defense related stocks? Posted: 28 May 2018 03:49 PM PDT Most of the defense related stocks (LMT, NOC, RTN) have been down a lot in the last couple of months. Is there any reason to believe that these stocks won't return to their previous levels? [link] [comments] |
