    No Money Down Entrepreneur

    No Money Down

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 01:02 AM PST

Is there and experts out there or books on buying businesses with no money down?

Recently my buddy brought a company from his boss. And I can honestly say, he put no money down on a $2.2 million deal. ($3-4k in legal fees that's it)

    1. It's likely to late but I wanna make sure my friend got a good deal.

    2. I wanna see other examples of this and see how I could potentially use this model to benefit my businesses.

    How do I network ?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 10:44 PM PST

Hey. I'm 20M and I want to be an Entrepreneur (I know it's easier said than done but I just want change in my society)

I graduate from Uni 2 years from now and I want to start my own business from the knowledge i've gained in the UK back in my home country since it's still developing.

I often write down my ideas but the problem I have is my environment. I don't have the same people that have the same vision as I do. Most of my friends are focused on the now. I don't know who to talk to about my ideas. I don't know where to meet people that share the same goals or values as I do.

Where can one meet people also aspiring to be entrepreneurs or want to make a start-up ? The people I surround myself with don't share the same vision with me. I feel like if i met the similar people I would be able to enrich myself.

Do you get what I mean?

Investor Pitch Deck and Presentations: How to choose the right designer or design agency?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 12:32 AM PST

Hi! We're currently aiming to get funded so we're trying to put together a compelling pitch deck and some presentation materials along the way. This is our first time so I'm wondering what's the best approach to look for in a designer or an agency? Is an agency better? And what's usually the price range for good quality? We're told to get freelancers but I wanted to know if getting an agency would be better.

    Interior Design Company Website Feedback

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 01:23 AM PST

    Hi there,

We're an online interior design company based in the UK, where we provide room decorating services for one flat fee per room. I'm looking to get feedback on our company website based on 3 key areas:

    1) Usability and experience - does it load fast enough on your device, does the design look ok on your screen size etc

    2) Content - is it too wordy? Is the concept of the service clear and compelling?

    3) Branding & proposition - does the brand lure you in and excite you? Would you be interested in learning more if you had an interior design project that you needed help with?

    I appreciate everyone's honest feedback!

    New Wireframe Kit

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 12:48 AM PST

My friend just finished her first wireframe kit on Figma.

I know there are many alternatives on the market, but this one does not look the same. What are your thoughts? Is there still room for a new player in this space? You can preview UI blocks here

Does anyone have experience with sealing cosmetic tubes ? Could really use some advice on how to seal them

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 12:45 AM PST

Hi guys, so recently my skincare business (which is a family business) has been really looking into using cosmetic tubes, the only thing is that I'm having issues on how to go about sealing them once I place the order.

I considered outsourcing them but my mom thinks they are too expensive and while I'm going to request quotes , it seems she's not comfortable outsourcing the filling process. Then she's saying we should buy a sealing machine but that she doesn't want it too big however all of the one's I've seen are fairly big in size.

Unfortunately she's not giving me much room to work with , I recommended that we focus on our current line of products and focus on generating sales and getting a less cumbersome packaging method like ones we did in the past but she's really hyperfocused on these cosmetic tubes.

So is there anyone with experience with squeeze tubes that have experience with sealing them ?

Thoughts on making your revenue public?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 11:16 PM PST

I've seen a few startups that display their revenue/income for the public to see, usually it's SaaS businesses or content courses created by a single person.

I'm in a bit of both of those groups, and was thinking about doing something similar. But at the same time, I feel like giving that information out there could have people either:

    1. Judging me if I'm not making an amount they expect me to
    2. Coming to me asking for donations, jobs, etc if the amount continues to grow and outpace my full-time job

I honestly can't really think of a pro besides becoming a part of that community or movement, but I don't think it would help my particular brand or business much. But, I'm interested to hear from anyone else about this!

how do you mentally deal with financial losses?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 10:39 PM PST

my company lost $500; i have pet leashes that need to be tested for wear and tear so i sent it to a guy who says he has the equipment in his house

i sent him the leashes and payment (leashes + payment =$500). he signed for the package. he claims he never received the product, chatted with me for a bit, and ghosted me

ive learned that it's only a loss if you learned nothing from it. but, i learned a lot from this case. to anyone, this $500 was a valuable learning lesson

but me... not only did i learn a lot, im now going beserk...

    maybe im overreacting...

so, how do you mentally deal with financial losses like this or getting scammed?

treat it as a lesson and move on? if so, how do you find the will to let it go?

ive learned the lesson but have a hard time letting it go

Got an offer I may have a hard time refusing….has anyone else been in this position?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:49 PM PST

Sigh, I don't know what to do. I love my main business, I started it 5 years ago, it's done me well, and it still has a lot of potential to grow even more.

Today I got a call from an old friend I used to deal with a couple of years ago, the last thing I expected was a job offer. She offered it to me in such a straightforward manor that for the first couple of seconds I genuinely thought she was joking about the price her company's higher ups were willing to pay me, it's a pretty ridiculous number (I've dealt with them in the past, I guess they really liked me).

I know I would make a significant impact working there, I asked if they wanted to bring me in as a consultant for much less but she said they knew I would say that and they want me there full time. I then said to her "You know I'd be a shitty "employee" right?", and she said they know that already and are willing to understand my "boundaries", not sure what that means.

I don't even know what to think, the money sounds too good to be true, but I never started this journey for the money in the first place, I'm just being tested HARD right now to stay true to why I started I guess?

    Shit….
