Things are finally falling into place for my businesses.

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 07:37 PM PST

3 years ago I got into the instagram theme page niche, managed to grow 200k+ followers the first year, by the 3rd year I had grown over 1 million followers across all pages. Now, I have sold most of my network and I am working with 1/3 of it, all the money that I've made from Instagram I have put into stocks.

Right now things are going better than ever, I made $620 in 1 day from selling promotions which is the most I have made in a day. I have also got another ad lined up for $550 in a few days, so this is my first source of income, which is selling ads.

My other source of income which I am just starting out is freelance digital marketing for a big company that I reached out to, I basically schedule ads for them and am the middle man for all the payments, the better the ads do, the more I get paid, so this is extremely scaleable and could even make 4-5 figures a month if this if done correctly.

My 3rd source of income is crypto/stocks, now I have not made much off crypto but I have found big success through reinvesting all money I've earned through selling Instagram pages/ads into stocks, effectively allowing me to 4X. Business = cashflow, Stock/crypto = multiplier.

My next project now is a shopify store which I am working on, I'm not expecting anything too crazy in terms of results but I am planning to promote it mostly on my own pages to keep cost low. But yeah this is a summery of my progress over the past 3 years, I am really passionate about running online businesses and started this when I was 17, now I am 20, this was always something I did on the side but now more than ever before I have been going all into it trying to scale it bigger and any tips or feedback on how I could improve would be appreciated!

What brick and mortar retail businesses are thriving today?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 07:03 PM PST

Maybe liquor stores, dollar stores, dispensaries?

Probably not hair salons, video arcades, cleaners.

    Data and anecdotes appreciated.

Not sure what to do with my "Skills"

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 11:05 PM PST

I was watching a video about starting up your own business. The guy in the video told me to pause the vid and write down a list of things you're already good at and brainstorm from there. He said "almost any skill can be turned into a side hustle with the right creativity"..... But I'm finding it difficult to make my skills a hustle.

Sadly this is my list of things I feel I'm best at

Is there better business in opening a diner vs opening a coffee shop?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2022 01:51 AM PST

For reference the diner in mind is your standard, homey, mom-and-pop place with breakfast lunch and dinner.

    Course Creator?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 09:49 PM PST

Soooo I've been hearing more and more about course creators. The idea that you create a course for any kind of skill or information that you're knowledgeable about and you sell it. I am considering it but still figuring out my niche. Apparently it's very lucrative and I've heard stories about people making six figures from it. Anyone familiar or have actually created a course and sold it before? Any tips on where to begin?

Also, there are trainings you can take that will teach you how to build your course, however, some trainings range anywhere from $3,000-7,000. Which to me is absurd.

It's Not A Casino It's A Business, Success Takes Time And Practice.

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 03:32 PM PST

Now I recently wrote about this in an SEO-related thread but often times I see many new business owners jump into the world of entrepreneurship thinking it's a get-rich-quick scheme and that it all happens overnight. I'm living proof much like the many other members of this community that running a successful business takes time. In fact, I didn't receive a single penny in profit my first year in SEO as I was focused on really making a name for myself and discounted services just to get my foot in the water. Now obviously you don't have to do that but the point is to spend the time and refine your process and I promise you'll be successful. Don't play entrepreneurship like a casino and hope and pray that your idea will be the next billion-dollar one because it will never work that way. Success takes time sweat and most importantly failure.

(Unless of course your business is a casino then play it like a casino)

    Any thoughts?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2022 12:24 AM PST

I was thinking that after I was done educating myself as I finish high-school, to 1.start saving up and start off investing NFT's and stocks/crypto currency 2. After I become pretty familiar with that I would start becoming more familiar with dropshipping 3. After I do that I would probably then start looking into affiliate marketing My goal is to have multiple flows of passive income so I can do the things I want and be the person I want, any thoughts about this/ advice?

    Anyone ever use Freightquote.com?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 09:08 PM PST

I need to ship a large amount of goods across the USA. Is Freightquote.com a good website to use? I noticed Fedex Freight is much cheaper on there vs contacting Fedex directly. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this site vs going to the companies directly?

    Business & Marketing Plan software

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 07:34 PM PST

For my initial business I used Business Plan Pro, which is now online as LivePlan. I liked it and it worked well for me. That said, at the time it was really the only game in town. Now, there are other options, including Aha! and Platinum Pro.

    What are you using?

For some context, my new company is a SaaS company that is in the startup phase. We do have active customers, but are still relatively small but growing. Currently small team with me, developer, and marketing coordinator.

Goals are a single place to flesh out and track the overall business plan, key objectives, and high-level budget that can be used for both financing and executive/operational tracking.

Aha! looks a little more geared toward SaaS companies I noticed, but am not sure yet.

I do plan on giving them all a spin, but would love any experience shares.

P.S. To get ahead of this: For those that use Word docs and Excel, that's great, but these software packages bring a "solution-in-a-box" that really helps fine-tune and track business/marketing plans.

    Pricing

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 06:51 PM PST

We are a small business that sells b2b consulting services.

I've noticed lately large time gaps between the time I'm revealing a price (usually in a proposal) and when a client actually commits (eg signs a deal).

We don't have unlimited consulting capacity. So if a bunch of clients sign all at once, I'm screwed.

What should I be doing differently with pricing in my sales process? Suggesting my pricing expires is probably not a workable solution, clients won't believe that it expires.

Coachieve coaching - is it worth it?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 06:14 PM PST

I just watched the "Make Over $100,000 as a Coach or Consultant" webinar by Joey Fehrman of Coachieve. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with their coaching? In the webinar, the speaker mentioned a bunch of case studies about their successful clients, but they didn't show any actual data or information from the case study...

Edit: upon further investigation, it looks like a scam to me. Anyone know more?
