Tech, Healthcare stocks down today as Energy, Financial, Industrial stocks are green

Started in the middle of November 2021. Didn't expect to have selected such a lucky moment to buy stocks. Wow.

Tesla added $140 billion in mkt cap on $2 billion extra revenue! Absurd.

    Posted: 03 Jan 2022 02:18 PM PST

Tesla literally beat analysts estimates by some 40,000 cars in 4Q. The average sale price around $50,000. And it puts on $140 trillion in a day.

Thats just plain stupid. This bull market is in the final throws of madness. Musk sells a few shares to pay taxes on options it's sheds $300 billion. It's sells a few extra cars in the qtr. that VW might sell in a.day and it puts on VW's mkt cap.

Massive half a million US car recall (on top of quarter million in China) and it does nothing. Musk getting stoned and talking of roaring 20's. Don't sell volatility he could be talking about the 1920's.

Beijing Setting Up a Trap to Collect Money From Wall Street, Says China Experts

Quick Question: Can you sell the shares controlled by a Call Option without ever buying them outright?

    Posted: 04 Jan 2022 11:53 AM PST

I've been trying to learn about Options trading (probably won't try it yet, but want to learn).

If I buy a call and pay the premium, then the stock goes above my break-even point - can I then sell the shares for profit without ever having bought them outright in the first place?

I'm just trying to work this out here. Imaginary Stock is at $100, I buy a call with a strike price of $150 for a $500 premium, expires 3 months from now. Now I "control" $10,000 worth of shares for $500. 2 months later, Imaginary Stock is at $175.

Is it possible for me to then sell the shares I control for $17,500 before I complete the contract for the original $10,000 worth? Coming out of the deal with $7,000 I didn't have before?

Basically what I'm asking is: If I'm willing to take the risk, could I go into this deal with just $500 and not enough to actually buy the shares I'm buying options for? Or am I obligated to buy the shares fully before selling.

DUE DILIGENCE FOR $ETON STOCK PDUFA JAN 29 WHY I LIKE IT

DUE DILIGENCE FOR $ETON STOCK PDUFA JAN 29 WHY I LIKE IT

STOCK $ETON January 29th 2022 FDA PDUFA DATE

Let me start by saying this is my opinion only and I am not a financial advisor however this is a post on why I think $ETON can be a great runner for its current FDA PDUFA Date January 29th2022 for Zonisamide Oral Suspension. You will see on the picture below Eton believes only the site inspection is holding them back as they received a CRL in March due to travel bans but now have had enough time and travel bans lifted this should be no problem.

Eton is not a one hit wonder company this company has 6 FDA approved products yes already Approved.

Starting the New Year with another approval hopefully now on Jan 29th will make 2022 a huge year for Eton. They just setup launch in the fourth quarter of 2021 for 3 products and have 4 additional products that have been submitted to the FDA that could be approved and launched in 2022

Now here's what I believe will be bigger Eton had a Human Factor Study for Lamotrigine and stated in their conference call on November 15,2021 that their partner was going to submit the results to the FDA later in the month which should allow for the potential approval in the first half of 2022. This would be a big catalyst to add to their PDUFA Jan 29th if we get news that FDA accepted the study and its complete.

They have plenty of cash on hand and are not new to the FDA Approval process, their last PDUFA went over $6.50 in my opinion I think this would be a great time to get in as they will start generating a lot of revenue with all these products coming to market.

    Market Outlook:

Stocks are set to open higher this morning after opening up 2022 on a strong note. We saw strength from the mega caps, and AAPL briefly crossed $3 trillion market cap. TSLA saw a big day yesterday after reporting a record number of deliveries in Q4; worth keeping an eye on the stock through the rest of the week. Lots of mixed opinions regarding what the market will look like in 2022. Some analysts believe we are in for some serious strength as profit margins recover, but others are tempering expectations, forecasting muted returns from the market (compared to 2021). I think the market will continue its strength, but any negative catalysts could cause some volatility. Fed monetary policy and COVID figure to be the two biggest potential catalysts, and they'll continue to be hot topics of discussion throughout 2022.

Remember to use proper risk management; size appropriately for your account and have a plan for every trade you enter. Happy trading everyone :)

Jury finds Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes guilty on multiple charges in criminal fraud trial

    Posted: 03 Jan 2022 04:40 PM PST

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, the one-time billionaire and darling of Silicon Valley who promised a revolutionary blood testing technology, has been found guilty of four charges in her criminal fraud trial.

The jury of eight men and four women were handed the case in mid-December after three months of proceedings and testimony from 32 witnesses. Deliberations lasted more than 50 hours over seven days.

In the end, the jurors convicted Holmes of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and three counts of wire fraud against specific investors. U.S. District Court Judge Edward Davila will sentence Holmes at a later date. She faces up to 20 years in prison.

Holmes was found not guilty on four charges and the jury determined there was no verdict on the other three. Jurors told Davila earlier on Monday that they were deadlocked on three of the 11 charges.

    TLDR: Fake voice lady guilty

#1 edible company in Canada in terms of market share coming back from the bottom $NDVA.V

    Posted: 03 Jan 2022 07:50 PM PST

Trading on the TSXV, Indiva Limited (NDVA.V) is one of my top picks at the moment for when it comes to stocks that are very oversold and starting to recover now that tax-loss selling season is over.

    DD & CATALYSTS

    - With 45% share of sales in the third quarter, Indiva continues to hold its lead in the #1 market share position in the edibles category

    - Insider buying at .29 and .32 https://ceo.ca/api/sedi?insider=Marotta%2C%20John%20A.

    - New licensing and manufacturing deal with Grön, which will be an amazing seller in my opinion due to low gummy price with good margins

    - Record gross profit margins in the third quarter of 2021, and positive adjusted EBITDA for the second consecutive quarter. With Q4 coming out soon, I am hoping for similar results

    - First positive earnings cannabis company in Canada

    - StoneCastle Investment Management holds Indiva in their Cannabis Growth Fund (8.51% of their portfolio) see details here -> https://spartanfunds.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/StoneCastle-Oct21.pdf Bruce Campbell, the founder of the fund had some great words about $NDVA on BNNs Market Call last week - see here https://youtu.be/dl5ha3wkqJ8

    - The Company expects gross margins to continue to improve in the fourth quarter of 2021 and into 2022, due to improved operating efficiencies from increased output, with diminishing benefit from lower distillate costs

    - In Q4 2021 and Q1 2022, Indiva will launch several new SKUs including new Wana gummy and Wana Quick SKUs, as well as chewable fruit tablets called "Jewels". Indiva also expects to continue to introduce additional craft cannabis flower SKUs under the Artisan Batch brand. Artisan Batch brings Canadians the best dry flower from craft growers with special attention paid to high THC potency, robust terpene content, premium large buds and fres

    - Raymond James calls Indiva undervalued, $1.25 price target, alongside strong buy rating. https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/CVE/NDVA/price-target/

    - Investor Deck https://www.indiva.com/investors/presentation/

Those are my points I can come up with from the top of my head at the moment - if you find something else notable, please add it.

I posted a lot of my DD and marked it DD even though there are some catalysts - if any suggestions in regards to post quality come to mind please comment and let me know...I'm new to Reddit and will be a long-term community member and poster here.

PS: I do have a position at the moment!

    GLTA!
