Sudden living situation change. Want to buy a house ASAP. What should I do today/tomorrow? Posted: 15 Dec 2021 11:53 PM PST So, recent disagreements amongst my current living partners have led to me wanting to move out ASAP. I cannot find any rental that meets my needs without costing 2k in rent so I want to buy a house. Here's the rundown. -Make 86k gross income -Have 10k total saved (emergency+savings) -Going to sell my financed car. Should net me ~10k in equity in the current market. Will get rid of $372 monthly payment + $100 insurance. No need for replacement car as I have a company car that I can use. -Looking at houses in the 300k range -Decent credit ~730 What should I do today/tomorrow to get the process rolling? Should I just start looking at houses on Zillow and contacting realtors of places I'm interested in? Or should I go talk with my bank and credit union to get pre-approved for a mortgage loan? I imagine I'm going to need an FHA loan due to my low down payment? [link] [comments] |
