Business phone number for small, remote team?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 06:38 PM PST

Hi friends! I recently became the CEO of a small HVAC repair company (long story, but I love it). We're getting to the point where my co founder can't use his personal phone to take business calls anymore. I'm looking for a business phone comapny/system/plan that offers the following

    • The ability for multiple people to take calls from the number on their own devices
    • The ability to assign which people's phones calls are routed to

I've just started playing with google voice—it's been a royal pain in the @$$. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Starting a business can be very challenging, especially when you don't know which business idea to use. Ideas can still exist even if they aren't put to good use but businesses can't exist without ideas. Every successful business you see started as an idea which was brought to life, most of these ideas are always in front of us but we tend to turn a blind eye on them. Business ideas originates from our everyday life, our problems and habits.

    Convention Requirements For Business Travel?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 05:58 PM PST

Hello everyone! My business is in the visual arts and there is a convention directly related to the particular school of art my business operates in. The convention I'm interested in attending would be used for meeting with some existing clients, networking to gather a larger client-base, and to attend different business-related panels. However the convention itself is not exclusively business oriented.

I've looked over what the IRS has for business travel but it seems that the information regarding conventions (or what I've found, at least) is sparse. Does anyone know what existing requirements beyond those for general business travel are in place for travel to a convention for business, whether reporting or otherwise? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

FDA Compliance Program for Foreign Wholesale Food Facility

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 05:44 PM PST

I am starting a new importing business to the U.S. I want to buy raw cacao products from a supplier in Ecuador, but I can make him comply with FDA regulations, requirements, etc. My supplier has never exported his products to the U.S., so he does not have an FDA compliance program, which I am trying to help him establish. I would appreciate any recommendation. Thank you.

    Help!

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 07:43 PM PST

I know this is very late to be thinking about this for the first time, but I need some help with an issue I'm having.

I'm about to launch my first website for a client with features that need ongoing maintenance and updates. We are hosting major parts if this on our own server, and will also need to maintain integrations with external API's. In the past I have usually just handed the finished product over to the client, so I'm hoping someone has some advice on how to charge for these services going forwards.

    Any advice is appreciated!

    LLC Fees in NJ?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 08:25 PM PST

So I've been thinking about starting a clothing brand as a small project, but I require EIN to be able to buy wholesale from suppliers. Would it be worth it signing up for all of that if I plan on making a couple sales here and there? I guess my question is if there's a lot of fees to maintain an LLC. Are there like monthly fees I have to pay to be able keep registered? I know there's an Annual Report of $75 but other than that are there other fees that I'll have to pay to keep the whole thing running?

    TIA.

Is there any platform that you can promote your e-commerce site after you launch?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 08:18 PM PST

For SaaS business, there are bunch of platforms like App Sumo to promote your service after the launch.

    Here are my questions.

1, Is there any platform or site like that? A platform that you can post your e-commerce business and people seeking new e-commerce brands check and learn about it.

2, Do you think crating a brand reddit account and contribute to communities is a good way to generate your brand? What should we be careful about it?

Needless to say, in a way you try not to bother other users.

    Please let me know!

Where/how to buy boxes for shipping?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 07:56 PM PST

I've been selling hot sauce and bacon at farmer's markets for a few months. Now I'm ready to start selling online.

I (kind of) understand how services like Shippo and Pirateship work, but I don't know where to buy inexpensive shipping boxes. I feel like I'll pay way too much if I just go to a big store like Office Max or Home Depot. Is there a better way to buy boxes?

Sorry for the noob question. I'm a noob at business. Any advice you can offer would be really helpful.

EDIT: These would be small boxes. Imagine the size of a bottle of hot sauce, and boxes big enough to hold between one and a dozen bottles.

Horror Author Releasing a New Book

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 05:41 PM PST

I'm a self-published, horror author, and only recently did I realize I need to treat my books like a business. At this point in time it's obviously a small business, but I have a start. Generally I use social media to market my novels, trying to find my niche, and connecting with readers. I haven't tried paid advertising as I haven't found somewhere I'm comfortable putting my money. I'm looking to market both online and locally. I'll be releasing a new book in February and am looking to build excitement for the release with promo art, sneak peeks, lots of video updates, and social media contact. If you have any tips or advice for small businesses and authors, it would greatly be appreciated, and I'll gladly pass on any information to my friends with small businesses and self-published authors.
