    Does work-life balance exist?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 02:53 AM PST

    Hey all,

As per the title, I am wondering if anyone can help me understand to what extent you should be prioritising work.

I am at the early stage of my start-up, pre MVP. The last 7 months have been a grind, and I am not complaining; welcome to start-up land!

I am, however, coming to terms with the fact that certain aspects of life will be compromised. I am trying my best to keep a "balance" in my personal life; as far as going out for walks and spending at least one uninterrupted day of the weekend with my partner is concerned.

I know this question has probably been juiced before, but what aspects of life are non-negotiable to you? For instance, I work part-time while running my start-up, which means that I am working a 60-70 hour week at minimum. Out of that, only about 40 hours go to the start-up.

Considering that there is a competitor in the space who is ahead of me by a mile, I feel inclined to compromise more. There is no time to waste at this moment, and I fear that if I don't get this plane off the ground soon, I may never. Would you go so far as cutting out your gym routine to invest those hours into your start-up (worth 10 hours per week), or is there an intrinsic benefit derived from doing activities like a gym routine, which actually aid in producing higher level, qualitative work?

On the flip side, the psychological benefit of the gym doesn't help when I physically can't implement those benefits into the start-up because there are no hours left in the day.

Any pointers on this topic would be appreciated!

How is great resignation changing hiring culture?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:45 AM PST

We've all heard of the great resignation and how the last two years have prompted millennials and Genz to quit boring 9-5 jobs, find meaning in life, live on the beach/farm, be sustainable, etc.

The more I talk to younger people (At 34, I'm starting to feel real old), the more I am learning how much the job/employment world has changed in the last decade or so.

Do you think this will change the hiring culture or how the overall culture of the organizations will be?
Is it really be a major concerns for start-ups who are looking to become a decade of businesses?

    Thoughts?

    Business Models

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 04:48 AM PST

Hey guys, I hope you´re having a nice start to the week!

My team and I are building a new resource on business models and have secured an expert to interview on the topic.

I wanted to ask you what were your doubts, questions and problems you faced when you set out to create your first business model as an entrepreneur?

Also, what would you have like to have seen in a resource on business models when you first started out?

I´m asking this so I can create a resource as valuable as possible. Feel free to send me a dm.

Thanks for your time on this :)
