A college business student needs help Posted: 05 Nov 2021 10:32 PM PDT I am a first year student and need help! My business professor gave us a week to prepare for a test about presenting our business idea. I have an idea and am decent at presentations, but I don't know how to structure my business idea. I need help! We need to add the canvas business model, telos, design thinking and feasibility study to our project, so can anyone tell me how I should structure it? [link] [comments] |
Is it too late to start dropshipping? Posted: 05 Nov 2021 09:25 PM PDT I'm a junior in HS and I'm trying to save up for a car and afford more schooling. I've been in a few business classes in my school and I have a basic idea of how marketing works. Are there too many businesses at this point for me to break into the market or is there still a chance? If there is a chance then where do I start? (Any resources, tutorials or just straight up tips would be much appreciated) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Nov 2021 01:47 PM PDT This is my first time considering certifications, as currently I'm a university student. However, the thought of 100% paid tuition is certainly enticing, and I can take a few of these before I graduate and get locked out from having a bachelor's. Can anyone tell me a bit more about how relevant certificates are in developing myself professionally, and whether any of you have experience with these programs? I've only done surface level research so far and none have come across as a scam to me, but I am new to this. Thanks for any help.

What's the hot topic of M&A right now? Posted: 05 Nov 2021 03:49 PM PDT I need to do a presentation on M&A but I don't know much about it. Were there any prominent deals recently that I should touch on? Or if there's a better sub for me to ask this please tell me. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Nov 2021 08:30 AM PDT Novice here, so please bear with me. I hope this is the right sub to post in. My husband is a sub-contractor. He does truck driving for a trucking company. He does not have any business expenses. He is paid a commission on every load he hauls. The company owns the truck and pays for fuel, repairs etc. We are currently refinancing our house. The mortgage company is asking for a year-to-date profit and loss. The thing is, we don't have one. We have given them all our bank statements, tax documents, investment account statements etc, but they're asking for this P&L and I don't know what to give them. Everything we make is in the accounts. We don't have a detailed document to show exactly what we've made and what we've spent other than our checking account. Can someone help direct me in the right direction? Thank you. [link] [comments] |

Requesting tips on approaching corporations and small businesses for college-team sponsorships Posted: 05 Nov 2021 08:07 AM PDT Good morning everyone! I am a university student who has recently been accepted to a college flight program. Within my program, I have become involved with the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) which is essentially "pilot sports" on a college level and we are training to compete next year. As always, we have had meetings on how to supplement our costs, and I volunteered to reach out to Reddit to find some ideas after traditional research failed. We are looking for tips and wisdom on how to best approach asking local corporations and small businesses if they would/could be gracious enough to sponsor our team to train for and go to the regional competition next September 2022. Should we prepare "ballpark" amounts to request? Should we prepare a five-ten minute pitch, or are simple emails more effective? Do corporations normally have dedicated departments who monitor and handle these requests, if so, what are they normally titled so we know who to ask for and/or what to look for. Thank you for your time and consideration! If there is potentially another sub that suits this better, we would be grateful to hear it. [link] [comments] |
I'm looking for Business books about tracking performance of the business Posted: 05 Nov 2021 05:04 AM PDT Do you know a book that has different formulas or ideas on how to track: Inventory performance (which sells, which does not, how fast and so on) Sales per square feet, linear feet Performance of the staff Is this called "Managerial Accounting" or else, because I'm not sure of the term itself since English is not my native language?
