How Do I Start a News Website? Posted: 17 Sep 2021 12:07 AM PDT I had an idea for a News website and was wondering how I would go about it. Would it be possible to start for little to no money? I'm just curious if I'm in over my head or if it's something achievable with pretty much no startup budget and no experience in the News field. Edit: I've decided that it's probably best that I start a blog or newsletter instead since I can't afford to hire staff so I'll be doing everything by myself. I'm leaning towards a blog, but I'm not 100% sure if that's the right choice. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Sep 2021 04:45 AM PDT Anything from: • How to tell them they need to reply to emails To • What you want is simply unrealistic I have over 14 years of customer service and sales experience and would love to read any golden nuggets or black Swans that worked really well for this community. EDIT: To clarify for some, speaking freely is about speaking without reserve. It is not about whether one is being honest or not. If there are any moments when you have spoken without reserve and it has worked for the situation, I am keen to hear some stories. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2021 09:04 AM PDT I see people that are on their 2nd or 3rd startup where they have had a successful exit previously but they are going through funding. Do people prefer to share the risk/reward through funding rather than self funding or is there other reasons to consider getting additional backing? [link] [comments] |
Appropriate Discount for pre-IPO Convertible Note? Posted: 16 Sep 2021 10:22 AM PDT If a company is about to launch a $75M capital raise and would like to jump-start this round by offering convertible notes with steep discounts, What would an appropriate portion be of the total raise to offer as notes? Something like $2M to $5M? Would a tier fashion with steep discounts be something that would attract the right investors, such as 50% discount for the first $2M, 43% for the next $1M, 33% for the next $1M, and 20% for the fifth million? What are people's opinions on this level of discount, is it too high or too low? [link] [comments] |
