Considering selling my stocks to fund my new business.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 06:56 AM PDT

I am creating a new business to moonlight myself on the side to make some extra cash. The start up costs are pretty heavy initially but once I am up and running should be practically taken care of.

I'd like to sell my stocks in order to use that money to buy the things I need to start the business. (Infrastructure mostly at this point). Is this a good idea? Does anyone advise against this?

I can instead use my paycheck to start it up at a much slower rate but, I am kind of impatient.

I am a Teenager and I want to take a Step Towards my Career and I need Help....

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 04:21 AM PDT

As I've said I am a Teenager. It is summer break for about less than 2 months and I need to do something. Everyday I try to be productive, I wake up at 4, I meditate, read, and journal, then I ride my bike and workout, then after that I eat breakfast, I try to learn about playing the guitar, speaking fluently, chess, singing, business, social issues, and Ted talks. Although I do all these things, I still feel like I am not that productive, I feel like I want to maybe try to sell something, or focus on the stock market and invest in that, or I can do my best to find maybe like an internship or a job. Also I am from a rural area in my country and we're still in quarantine so I don't think it's a possibility to get a random job like what other teens do.

While listening to Ted Talks and other speaches of successful people, I have learned that I need to take risk in my life and not just want it but to actually do it. So I just feel like maybe I need to do things mostly to take a step Towards my Career.

I also am trying to figure out what specific goal I want in my life and try to make progressive plans towards that goal.

So if you are a teen or have felt similar to this when you were young, I would appreciate to get any advice. Thank you for reading this post.

Packaging Help - MDF is expensive

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 04:06 AM PDT

    Hi

We create items (various shapes & sizes) that are delicate for courier networks to handle.

Therefore when certain items can't be relied upon in a cardboard box with packaing material, we have to make a surface protection carcass box from MDF to mitigate damages from the courier. However, since May 2020, the prices for MDF sheets from manufacturers have sky rocketed (approx 3 x the price). With another approx 40% increase in the next month. This isn't sustainable long term.

Does have anyone know of more cost effective rigid material we can use to make surface protection carcass box?

    Many thanks

Any real work life stories on money wastage and mess created by unused, duplicate, underused software or SaaS apps in your company?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 12:13 PM PDT

Can anyone share their real work life experience how hard it is to track all software or SaaS apps and its usage in your company? How hard it is to maintain a excel sheet to track them?

There may be problems of unused, duplicate and hidden software in your company. There may be apps which your employess use for the first few months but eventually discard it, but IT will never knew it. Some apps get autorenewed even your company no longer uses it and IT is not even aware of it. Some time different department purchases different softwares for the same case, but your comlany could have get a discount as the number of seats increased.

One of the employess may be purchasing the apps but eventually company has to pay for it even though it is expensive. Security, service level credit, revoking employess access on leaving - many problems like that....

Any instances of SaaS wastage? A situation where company has to pay a fortune for the SaaS subscription but does not match with productivity....
