Posted: 07 May 2021 05:34 AM PDT I've been applying to jobs outside public for over a month, and have interviewed for probably 10 positions over the last two weeks. Accepted a position yesterday. 40% pay raise (what the FUCK), higher 401k contributions, more generous PTO policy, etc. Working with a good, smart team in a company that I'm excited about. The past year has been one bad day after another and I cannot fucking wait to go to work excited without wanting to die again. Busy season was pretty tough but got out of it okay cycling between teams. This week I was primarily on a team who's manager I don't get along with too well (different teaching styles) Today, my in-charge was sharing his screen to show me some procedures and 10 minutes into it went into the work Direct Messenger with the Manager openly talking about how much of a shitty worker I am, with the Manager saying he "gives up on me".
