Let's say you're a cafe owner? AKA ways to earn while your shop is closed...

    Posted: 04 Apr 2021 12:54 AM PDT

Let's say you're a cafe owner, you only earn while you are open. How can you change this.

What other ways can you generate income?

    You invest in your brand;

    Franchise your cafe

Make a cook book to sell your recipes

Create a series of videos on line (free teaser content bu t paid for the full course)

    Create a digital cooking course

Have a social media presence (free advertising)

Create your own range of sauces/ products / recipe packs and licence it for someone else to sell

    Other ideas:

Teach other cafe owners how fo market themselves

I'm not a cafe owner, just doing a thought exercise...

    Help

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:46 PM PDT

Hello, I am making a business for cosmetics I am a younger person so I don't really know much about business. I don't want to be taken advantage of or scammed, I want to be on the right track and I wanted to come here for help and advice. I wanted to start a business for eyelashes And lip glossesI'll eventually add onto my website and business as I grow in customers but that's what I want to start off with. I need help with like finding eyelash vendors because I know some are really expensive I found some eyelash that comes in packs on Amazon and other online websites but I don't know if that would be stealing or just reselling because they would be making a profit and I would be making a profit. I just really need help on that and second how do I get a business license or how do I apply in other words

Northwestern Economics vs Western Ivey (AEO)

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:41 PM PDT

Hey everyone, I was recently admitted into both schools and I was wondering which school I should choose! for both schools, I would also consider minoring in cs (cs the first 2 years for Western).

In terms of cost, Western would be around 115k USD whereas Northwestern would be around 320k USD (definitely a consideration but not particularly a concern although I may take out some loans to make it easier on my parents). I'm also currently interested in consulting although I know that my interests may later change. Thanks in advance!

Would greatly appreciate any additional reasoning/explanations!

Did logistics businesses that had rapid growth (e.g. UPS, Amazon, etc.) start with simple business plans?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:27 PM PDT

I was driving by an Amazon warehouse today and couldn't help but think that Jeff Bezos would have someday sat down to come up with something along the lines of, "boxes will stay in the shipping containers within the airplane for X hours, before being stored in the airport cargo for no more than Y hours. The Z shipment transfer protocol will determine which truck gets to take which box"...

I am sorry if I can't really explain my train of thought, since I'm a tech guy and I marvel at large businesses. But how the heck do these guys come to know all these business processes and know how to put them to paper? I am sure Jeff Bezos met a lot of people, read many business books, got help from experts. But for a young entrepreneur like myself, where do I get the knowledge to write a detailed business plan when I have not experienced what my business would be like in 5-10 years?

Can I get some slogan help?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 07:10 PM PDT

Opening a used car dealership as a new branch of a 90 year old local medium sized family business. The dealership will be run by my nephew and I. Looking to develop a slogan that implies trust and integrity. I'm not very creative, so all I have so far is "From our family to yours". I've also thought about something implying that we wouldn't sell a vehicle to a customer that we wouldn't sell to our family.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Quitted well paid job in IT to start something new by myself. Now I'm scary.

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 03:01 PM PDT

    Hi
Some time ago my company was bought by another so there was a lot of problems with salary etc. I have on my account over 100k usd, 20k passive income per year almost 200 ha of agricultural land (where I plan to do some another busines) so I thought that I'm safe I can do something by myself and fuck this company if they don't wont pay me more. I'm ending job in my current company when I will end my project and that will be in this month. Now after 3 weeks I'm begining little scary about that what I have done. I have quited safe job in big corpo to do some IT consulting as 24-25 years old guy. I have in mind that everything should be okay because a lot of companies with which I cooperated in my current company where terrible. But now I start to worry that how I will start that and what if I didnt find customers for my service? Have I future in next company in IT with few months break in CV when I'm so young? I'm 24-25 years old now. How to plann that? I love IT and thats reason why I don't focus on my agricultural land, forests, sawmill etc. but now I'm begining scary how to earn money in next month.

How you current entrepreneurs dealed with that at start of your career? Maybe you have some history from IT industry about own company, own consulting business? Maybe you have some idea how to connect that with agriculture?

Ps. I forgot to say. Im devops

How do debt management companies make money?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 01:49 PM PDT

I assume they charge start-up fees and additional monthly fees for setting up IVA's etc but confused about the start-up costs of these firms and how they generate enough income to stay afloat.

What are good ways to legally make money with paintings I create based on memes?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:42 AM PDT

Long story short: I make paintings of meme templates which a lot of people love. I have never sold prints and merchandise because I didn't want to get in trouble. But I want to see what kind of possibilities I have :)

    What would you advise?

    • Should I just ask for permission and share the profit? If so.. How and who do you contact owners of traderight/copyright/portrait right and so on of things and people that appear in memes?
    • Just make original memes
    • ... I am very open for suggestions!

    PARALLEL MARKETING

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:18 AM PDT

PARALLEL MARKETING - I was contemplating & experimenting over the last 5 years with around 15 Startups & a few Corporates.
For Corporates/Funded Startups there is a Fixed marketing budget which increases every year by a fixed percentage or based on Funding.
For Bootstrapped/Small Startups,Marketing is basically creative & hustle.
Those who have Marketing spends they go for whatever the Ecosystem offers them under the umbrella whether its Lead Generation,Email Marketing ,Affiliates, Community,Influencers, Analytics, Automation, Content Management System,
Community Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media,ATL,BTL etc.
In spite of spending on all this, most of them are clueless & are forced to increase the Marketing spends.
Parallel Marketing is to create a separate Marketing Ecosystem for the brand fully customized according to the industry. Its not immediate rather it will be a block of 3 years/5 years of time.
The cost will be incurred in the beginning & will be amortized over the block thereby reducing/stagnating the Marketing Spend over a period of years.
Only Problem-Marketing Heads/CMOs dont stay in a company for a longer time to implement this.
Hopefully some CMO/Marketing Head try this concept.

    Develop yourself as a tradesman

    Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:51 AM PDT

He who knows handicrafts can be called a kind of engineer. Considering this aspect, I like traders a lot. They are a kind of all round. A friend of mine was looking for a job after finishing reading and writing and later he established himself as a trader. Now he runs his own business.

Many people now work under him. He is now organizing the work of others himself. Isn't this great for him?

How logical is this? When I meet my friend he tells me to build myself as a trader. Because he himself is successful as a trader. She is earning income as an Electrician. But to say tradesman does not mean just electrician. You can start your trades life with any job you can, such as Carpenter, Carpet installer, Heavy equipment operator, Landscaper, Painter.

As tradesman refers to a skilled worker who specializes in a particular occupation that requires work experience. So people trust traders.

Finding tradesmen is not something difficult now . Most humans are now constructing themselves as tradesmen. However if you are searching for a properly tradesman i would like to propose you some point.

Online lookup is simpler than it sounds so don't be put off via it. You begin with the aid of checking the groups internet site and any related social media accounts. Here you will get a properly thinking of how the organization provides itself and may additionally pick out up some opinions or testimonials.

Next you can pass on to regulatory bodies, change websites and on-line evaluations to test they are registered with the right people, certified and have a music file of supplying excellent service.

Once you do this you will get a properly concept of who is authentic inside your neighborhood area. At this factor you want to make a shortlist of between three and 5 candidates and then you want to provide your shortlist a call.

When talking to them ask about call-out charges, references, skills and accreditations. If you are completely happy with what you hear then invite them to come and provide you a quote.

However, I would like to urge you to no longer leap in with the most inexpensive quote. Nine time out of ten the most inexpensive choice is no longer the high-quality choice and if they do a awful job you ought to incur similarly charges that set you lower back thousands.

However, It is better to be born as well as to act. With this proverb in mind, I have started my trading life.
