    PsychoMarket Recap - Monday, March 1, 2021

Stocks staged a remarkable rally Monday as the market celebrated another effective coronavirus vaccine and Treasury yields stabilized. Each of the major indexes gained more than 2% today after suffering one of the worst weeks since October.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury yield retreated to hover below 1.45% after spiking to a one-year high of 1.61% last week. The swift rise in interest rates last week spooked equity investors last week, with rates reflecting inflationary fears and impacting both corporate and consumer borrowing costs. Last week, during his testimony to Congress, Chair of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell tried to temper fears over higher rates and inflationary pressures. He said, rising Treasury yields are a statement of confidence on the part of markets that we'll have a robust and ultimately complete [economic] recovery." Central Bank officials from the United Kingdom and Australia echoed Powell's sentiments and committed to maintaining accommodative fiscal policies.

Over the weekend, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency use authorization to Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ) single-dose coronavirus vaccine, making it the third vaccine approved in the US. The company has already begun shipping its COVID-19 vaccine and expects to deliver more than 100 million doses of the single-shot vaccines during the first half of 2021, including more than 20 million by the end of March.

In Washington DC, over the weekend, the House of Representatives advanced the $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus package without any Republican support. The bill includes an additional payment of $1,400 to Americans, $400 per week in augmented Federal unemployment benefits, and $350 billion in State, local, and tribal aid. The bill now heads to the Senate, with lawmakers aiming to pass the bill before the mid-March deadline when current Federal unemployment benefits are set to expire.

The Democrats are employing a process called reconciliation in order to get the stimulus bill passed without Republican support. Through reconciliation, Congress can enact legislation on taxes, spending, and the debt limit with only a majority (51 votes, or 50 if the vice president breaks a tie) in the Senate, avoiding the threat of a filibuster, which requires a 60 vote supermajority to overcome. As a reminder, there is a 50/50 split in the Senate, but Kamala Harris, as the Democratic Vice-President, has the power to break a tie.

ROBLOX (RBLX) ENTERING NYSE ON MARCH 10TH

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 07:14 PM PST

    What is RBLX?

Roblox is a free to play game that has been around since 2006 while the company started in 2004. It has 199 million monthly users, more than Minecraft. https://backlinko.com/roblox-users#roblox-monthly-active-users https://www.businessofapps.com/data/roblox-statistics/

Games and worlds are created by Roblox developers, which can be anyone due to the fact developers are individuals and you get paid based on how much your game or world is played. Roblox has created a game developer community. We all know Roblox because we or a niece or nephew have played it. March 10th is the day Roblox will be out on the NYSE as the ticker RBLX.

Why March 10th could be a big opening day

RBLX is supposed to open on the market at $41.52 per share. This could be false and it could be lower around $7 but I'm not sure yet. I believe the stock will go anywhere from doubling or tripling during the day due to the fact that it is a) already known company b) good fundamentals c) stocks for entering the NYSE tend to rocket (ex.MORF) d) it has more active users than any game e) meme stock. If we've learned anything in the past month it's that meme stocks like GME, AMC, and NOK may be memes but they can make us money. I think of RBLX as a smaller meme stock. Although the CEO is big on long term, always speaking in 5,10,15 year increments, nobody invests into a kids mobile game long term. That's why I think after the pump, people will take profit and leave. Don't stay in too long.

Why Roblox wasn't enlisted in the NYSE earlier like planned

They have in game currency which now can be a monthly subscription bringing in even more revenue. Roblox was initially suppose to enlist in the NYSE earlier but "because of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's scrutiny of how the video game platform recognizes revenue in its finances, according to a memo the company sent to employees on Thursday." https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/01/29/sec-scrutiny-delays-roblox-stock-market-listing.html The reason for this delay was due to the immense increase in revenue from their monthly robux subscription. What RBLX deemed as revenue and the SEC differed, halting them to redo their financials.

Why RBLX is a good company

Roblox Global Player Spending has almost doubled from 65.2M in January 2020 to 102.9M in May 2020. So imagine how much it has increased since then now in February 2021. Roblox Valuation has doubled from 2.5B in 2018 to 4B in 2020. In May 2020 Roblox was the 3rd highest grossing game in mobile games. They have 3 billion total engagement hours each month. Since 2017 annual revenue has gone from 45.7M to in 2019 435M. https://www.businessofapps.com/data/roblox-statistics/

    Emotional Intelligence - SOS Limited

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 06:08 PM PST

Emotional Intelligence challenges several long-held assumptions and beliefs, by asserting that a good investment approach starts with introspection. Too many investment gurus tell you to emulate their techniques despite the fact that you may have very different personality traits, motivations and biases. Would Zion Williams tell a short basketball player to play like him? Investors need to create a unique template for self-reflection and a framework for developing an investment approach that works best with who you are. Whereas the consensus opinion is that investing success comes from blocking out emotions and making purely rational decisions, the best money managers actually use their feelings. They actively sense what others in the market are thinking, and they employ gut instincts when making decisions.

The explosive, global growth in the cryptocurrency space seems to be launching an increasing number of new and existing companies to "next-level status."

    • Well-known companies such as Square, PayPal, Tesla, MicroStrategy, Overstock, Galaxy, Riot Blockchain, and Marathon Patent are just a few of the successful names currently in the crypto landscape.
    • Some of the recent success stories in crypto are publicly-traded companies that pivoted their business models into the crypto space. SOS Limited plans on being the next major success.
    • SOS Limited is a recent entrant into the cryptocurrency space. The company's chances for success are bolstered by highly accomplished Wall Street veterans combined with top Chinese talent.
    • SOS plans to mine both Bitcoin and Ethereum. SOS also may be the first company to offer crypto insurance, crypto loans, and other crypto-related financial services in the months ahead.

Directionally, the call for SOS to trade significantly higher seems reasonable. Achieving a valuation that is just half of RIOT's market cap today would value SOS shares at about $25. SOS will have 30% more crypto miners online, much cheaper energy costs, existing revenues and profits from an improving legacy business, and the launch of a cryptocurrency financial services division. Perhaps SOS should be assigned a valuation well north of just half of RIOT's market cap. We will see what the market thinks of this trade as the facts of SOS become disseminated into the marketplace.

    Lithium mines vs battery makers

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 11:37 AM PST

I'm curious what others opinions are in regard to where to invest in the EV market. As the title would suggest I am looking at lithium mining operations and battery makers and trying to decide where to place an emphasis. For an overall market picture I am in LIT which is giving me good exposure to the whole EV market, but I think there is an opportunity with a bottleneck in the supply chain that one sector is going to come out ahead.

I am leaning towards battery manufacturing as lithium is abundant and the barriers to entry for mining are not significant, while having existing infrastructure for manufacturing batteries is going to be bottlenecked and therefore I feel that will be a larger profit generator.

What are others thoughts on this?

    DKNG Analysis: Expectations

One of the most bullish tickers I see as of now, and let me tell you why.

If you are a follower of DKNG, you may have seen the recent double top that we had. This, paired with the indecisive market we have been experiencing, put fear and second thoughts into our head.

Our saving grace came from the candle on Feb 23rd. What this candle shows is that we may have had a double top and a concerning market, but DKNG shareholders had faith in the strong-support (purple line), and the buyers outweighed the shorts. From that candle, the chart up to this point came from that momentum created.

With volume spiking on the daily chart and clearance of the previous double top level, DKNGs next target is the 75.00 range, where we should experience some resistance.

Beautiful chart along with news such as "Traders Circulate Florida State Senate Bill Authorizing Sports Betting" and Raised price targets, What else do you need to think about?

The stock market cools of as technology drops after the treasury yields spike. Roku, Deere & Twilio smash earnings expectations while Walmart disappoints. Palantir sells off on mixed results, so let's talk about this and other stock market news

Hello everyone! So, let's start with the recap of last week, as we saw the broad stock market selling off, with the SP500 losing 2.4%, the Dow Jones dropping 1.8% and the Nasdaq Composite shedding almost 5% in what was the worst week since October for the index, with high flying ETFs like the ARK Invest ones, also suffering big last week, though this didn't stop Cathie Wood from going on and buying the dip in names they believe in like Tesla & Palantir despite the record outflows of the ARK Innovation ETF

10 of the 11 SECTORS finished the week in the red, as only Energy managed to somehow outperform, finishing the week with a solid gain of over 4%.

The rise in yields had a big inverse effect on the volatility INDEX, as the VIX spiked over 25% to finish the week just under the 28 level.

HERE is the HEAT MAP from last week and as you can see, it's very hard to find bright sports outside the energy sector, as most of the other sectors were bleeding, but a couple of entertainment stocks alongside the more value heavy sectors like financials & industrials had some companies posting positive weeks.

We also saw some interesting economic data last week, with the consumer confidence coming in higher than expected in February as consumers have started to feel that the present situations are improving, while on the Jobs front, we saw initial jobless claims plummeting over 100K with the continuing jobless claims also coming down to just over 4.4M, which might have helped push the sell-off in the stock market from last week, as unemployment fears maybe just ticked down for the moment, as the personal income and spending increased by 10% M/M with the stimulus checks being a big reason we saw such a big spike.

This week we get some more economic data, with the unemployment, jobs & jobless numbers taking center stage yet again, while on the EARNINGS front, we are finishing the earnings season with interesting names like NIO, Zoom, Snowflake, Costco & many others reporting this upcoming week.

In some other stock market news, we saw Palantir take a big dive last week, being hit with extra bad news on the top of the broad market pullback, as 3 insiders filed to sale shares of the company, but on the other hand the stock did receive some better news on an expansion of their deal with 3M.

We also saw the biggest company in the world, Apple, taking a big hit last week, dropping over 10% despite planning to increase their annual dividend and dismissing the antitrust concerns regarding their App Store policies.

On the earnings front, we saw DoorDash missing expectations on the bottom-line earnings by $2 as they only modestly impressed on revenues and I believe face a though challenge ahead as the stay-at-home stocks will slowly but surely start to see a significant slowdown of their massive growth. Doordash also disappointed on gross & EBITDA margins while also giving shaky outlook for the future of the company given the huge expectations demanded by their insanely high valuation.

NVIDIA also reported last week and smashed expectation in what was the biggest quarter in the company's history, as they brought in revenues of $5B and beat the bottom line with an EPS of $3.10. They also offered impressive guidance, around $800M better than analysts expected, which in my opinion is insane.

The biggest revenue segment that helped Nvidia crush the numbers was again their Gaming & Data Center stream, as this continues to grow again 10% Q/Q and came in 67% better than the previous year.

So yeah folks, let's hope for a better week in the stock market, as we might start the month with new inflows from cash on the sideline that might get added on the dip to the stock market, as I think we will see a major dip in the investor sentiment INDEX, which last week still came in with a bullish sentiment of over 45%, which combined with the previous 2 weeks in which we saw huge bullish sentiment, might have warned investors of the potential correction or pullback in the stock market, as this has been a good contrarian indicator many times in the past!

Thank you everyone for reading🙏 Hope you enjoyed the content! Be sure to leave a comment down below with your opinion on the stock market! Have a great day and see you next time❗

    PLTR Analysis: Expectations

Buy the dip? Palantir is in a very crucial position right now sitting on strong support. With volume and publicity increasing over past few months, PLTR can be seen as a huge buying point as of now.

With a dip coming from the choppy/bearish market and pullback from recent breakout, we are sitting pretty.

We are looking for a bounce off of support to continue this strong uptrend. If we fall below support, it could be GGs.

Option flow is saying we are bullish, but break on support will say otherwise. Either way we will find out in the next few days.
