    Only a couple months on the job. Miscommunications, lack of communication, or clarity were things I thought were my job. They are not. Do not feel down because no one is replying, or if things are slow or if your manager makes a mistake , do not transfer their mistakes onto yourself. We are all human. Do not let these things pile up and make yourself the victim.

    Obviously advice for people who are dependent on it. But this could apply to everyone . Have a good weekend boys and girls

    I know no-one cares but I have no accounting friends so I had no idea who to share this with.

    But I'm an Industrial Placement student (3rd year of Uni is in the workplace) and for the first time ever I've produced a work-paper that had 0 review notes.

    I'm so happy with myself. My audit team has been fantastic and we're all so ahead, and I've been feeling like I've just been completely unhelpful & dragging the team down.

    But producing a work-paper that's actually good has just made my day. Don't feel so useless anymore :)

    I've had some fantastic seniors helping me through everything, does anyone know how I can show them how grateful I am?

    Quick PSA - if you’re mentoring a new hire. Can you genuinely ask them questions about other stuff besides work? Can you try to develop a Meaningful connection?

    If you were put in this place as a mentor , excersise your abilities and knowledge and extend it to your mentee. Yeah it's busy season so what? Everyone's busy. Don't be neglectful.
