    Advice for a startup company

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:52 PM PST

    Hey everyone,

We are a team of 4 people and are currently working on a startup company, which is in the development phase. Since only 1 of us has the skills to do some hardcore development the rest of us are stuck on what the next step is beside the developing the solution.
I would tremendously appreciate if I could get some advice/best practice on what to focus on working with, to have a "functional" company when the development is done.

Since I am new to this sub, I apologies if this post does not meet the requirement to post in this sub.

How to make a plastic bottle?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 12:07 AM PST

I have a design for a plastic bottle I want to produce. How do I create a mold to make the plastic bottle?

Also, what kind of material do I use to make it safe for holding juice?

Do I need to get it approved by the FDA or something so that I could sell the bottle with juice to a grocery store? If so, how do I go about doing that/how long would it take?

Should we have more than one app mockup?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 10:57 AM PST

Hi all! Small question, should we have more than one app mockup displayed with different devices when presenting our app to investors? Or is one mockup okay to show? We have on full mockup done with micro interactions and all, but not sure if we should have more.

Since January 1, 2021, how will you declare the VAT on digital goods sold to UK consumers? Will you register at the UK tax administration?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 01:55 AM PST

It seems that rules have changed for this case, as a consequence of UK leaving the EU.

Any EU-based seller (or from anywhere in the world) has to register to the UK tax administration if selling to UK consumers. This looks like a total nightmare, and many shops (selling digital or physical products) have stopped to ship to UK (google dutch bike shop + brexit you'll find many articles). What are you going to do?

Have some of you already registered in UK tax system? Is it simple? Are there fees, additionally to paying VAT?

How many shares does a startup usually have?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2021 10:24 AM PST

    Hello all,

I got an offer from a startup which is in stealth mode and they offered me 40,000 shares, but I do not know the number of total shares. So far they have raised more than 20 million dollars.

I'm wondering what is my percentage here. Honestly It's hard for me to ask them this, so I wonder what percentage should I expect here.

    Thanks a lot

    tl;dr:

Joining a startup and they are offering 40,000 shares. How many shares does a startup usually have and what is my percentage here.
