Struggling, In Debt Student Asking for Advice- PLZ HELP

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 12:32 AM PST

    Hey guys,

Just want to preface this post by saying that I do not have any coding experience and merely want to make money selling websites and apps to businesses in need. I am uninterested in learning to code as I'm sure it will be quite time consuming to get good. What is the best way to add value for clients? Is there any difference between websites and apps built using a service like Wordpress or Wix or fully developing it myself.

What is your suggestion about the route I should take to start my business?

Is the easiest way to build websites and apps that add value for clients learning how to code or just using some sort of website/ app builder instead? Is there a guide to learning web/app development without learning to code or am I better off learning to code?

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and answer my silly questions, I really appreciate it! I am desperately trying to pay off my student debt

Wells Fargo PPP 2nd draw. Just received "SBA Approved your Loan" and completed DocuSign. I also applied with Smartbiz , Lendio , Crossriver , KServicing and Loanbuilder.

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 08:39 PM PST

Today 1/28/21 I received an unexpected email from Wells Fargo "SBA Approved your loan". I had already applied with 5 other lenders even up to a week before I applied with Wells Fargo. I honestly was not expecting anything because when I applied for PPP1 with Wells Fargo, all ever received was an email once a week for 2 months stating "we are processing your SBA application". For PPP1 I ended up using Kabbage and received funding within 3 days.

Here are the PPP 2nd draw lenders I applied with and their status as of today: (so Far Wells Fargo was the first to send "SBA approved" with DocuSign.

    SMARTBIZ (Nav.com).

    - Applied: 1/11 10PM

    - Status: 1/28 4PM: Step2 "Smartbiz review".

    LENDIO (Sunrise Bank)

    - Applied: 1/12 10PM

    - Status: 1/28 4PM: "We are reviewing your application".

    CROSSRIVER (Bank)

    - Applied: 1/17 6PM -

    - Status: 1/28 4PM: "under review, unable to determine status".

    KSERVICING (Formerly Kabbage).

    - Applied: 1/19 1:30PM

    - Status: 1/28 4PM: "submitted to SBA".

    LOANBUILDER (PayPal)

    - Applied: 1/20 8PM -

    - Status: 1/28 4PM:: "reviewing application".

    WELLS FARGO (Bank)

    - Applied: 1/20 1:30PM

    - Status: 1/28 4PM: "SBA Approved", Completed Docusign. (Not funded yet, just Completed DocuSign).

    Complicated Business

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 07:32 PM PST

So here's the deal. Disclaimer: Everything Legal. A gun store owner told me how hard is to buy ammo these days and needed to find factories in other countries to be able to purchase more ammo. He sells around 50mill in 6 months. I made a few calls trough a connection to someone in a different country and not only I founded a factory but landed a potential deal/partnership with that country government in creating a new line of production. All legal, once again for the skeptical. Involves investors of course and government is putting building, utilities and trained people. I'm looking for some advice on dealing with government and how I can vet the deal to make sure that all bases are covered and everyone in the deal remains in the deal? Thanks for advice here or on DM if necessary 👍

Are We Experiencing The End of Value Investing?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 07:16 PM PST

Historically, value investing has reigned supreme. We all praise the likes of Benjamin Graham (author of the Intelligent Investor), Warren Buffett (CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and adamant proponent of value investing), financial modeling, and financial experts like those behind hedge funds. However, after the most recent GameStop short squeeze, our traditional methods for evaluating and purchasing stocks have been threatened. If one of the following: AMC, Nokia, BlackBerry, and Bed Bath and Beyond stocks short squeeze over the weekend, our traditional beloved value investing will be on its way to becoming obsolete. Even currently, when we think of companies that we should invest in we are told the usual tech company: Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Tesla, and others, when all of them are overvalued. Elon Musk this past summer tweeted that his company, Tesla's shares were overvalued. Even Apple stock can be considered overvalued, it's market cap of $2.036T is roughly $350 billion higher than the next two largest tech companies, Amazon and Microsoft (~$1.7T) and until recently (like yesterday) it has not had the sales growth to account for or reflect this market cap. Investors have gotten more optimistic about Apple in the past year, and this exuberance is what allows the stock to continue rising. Even the hedge funds and big tech companies succumb to sentimental investing. I have once said not to "gamble" on stocks and to use only your mind when you make an investment, but that is what we have been conditioned to say. While it has worked out for me and many others, we must not disregard the sentimental value a company holds, or a group of individuals interested in pouring money in the same stock (like Wall Street Bets).
