Posted: 26 Dec 2020 07:59 AM PST I'm interested in knowing more about the ARK Genomics ETF. Is the price of this ETF based on the value of all the stocks in the portfolio, or is it inflated because of its popularity? Basically, would I get more value if I bought all the stocks individually and not through the ARK ETF? I don't mind paying the small fees, I just don't want to buy something that is inflated due to hype. [link] [comments]
Question about P/L calculations Posted: 26 Dec 2020 02:38 PM PST Hi, I'm from the UK so investing using Trading212. I bought 0.0443197 of TSLA @$602.4409 costing me £20 (~$26.76) The current price of TSLA is $661.79, which means the market value of my 0.0443197 is $29.33 (~£21.91), meaning I should be +£1.91. However, my account is showing only +£1.61. Is this due to the Tax of buying the shares, or the exchange rate from USD to GBP, or something else I'm missing? Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Dec 2020 06:08 PM PST Hello, Quite new to investing... been investing in the Vanguard Global All Cap since March... Basically just putting £500 a month in every payday (£10k total in there now). I read a lot of people on here recommending ETFs to people.. can someone explain the difference between an ETF and an index fund... And should I be considering investing in ETFs over Vanguards stocks and shares ISA (Global All Cap)? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 09:54 AM PST Is there a way to see when the Fed creates new FIAT, how much, if it's buying gov bonds or injecting it in the markets? It makes sense if they issue a press release on such events, I'm looking around although didn't manage to discover much on the matter. I'll keep looking and update this thread. Meanwhile, if you're savvy on the matter, we'd be grateful if you could share your insights. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 04:45 PM PST Hi so i am thinking of investing 1000 dollars into the stock market. The thing is that i sort of new to all of this but i have made a lot of research and i decided to play it safe and not take many risks on my investments so here is my portfolio for 1000 dollars. 2 shares in BABA= 500$ 1 share in VOO=330$ 3 shares in GBTC=90$ And i want to keep the rest for other things i find along the way Any thoughts? I am also thinking of investing fractions in VNQ [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 03:49 PM PST I'm sorta confused about what risk really is. If a strategy is consistently beating the market over a very long period of time, how is it risky? The risk has to manifest itself in the form of lowering the returns at some point in time right? If a risky strategy always beats the market won't everyone start doing that, and how would it be considered risky anymore? Would greatly appreciate if someone could help clear this up for me. I'm sure I'm missing something important here. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 09:30 AM PST I've seen many articles about firms telling clients to be fully invested by 2021 and some saying not to. I honestly feel like it's a bad idea to be fully invested by the end of the year if you aren't already. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 07:32 AM PST Hey, I'm 18 and have been investing for about a year. I opened my robinhood account in July and have done nicely with 50% growth. When I heard the news of robinhood cutting its margin interest from 5 to 2.5% I became interested in using margin. I realize that margin can be risky and I will probably get shut down in the comments but I am trying to use a safer strategy. I'm using the $1000 of interest free money to invest in high yielding monthly dividend stocks to cover the $5 monthly fee plus I get a few extra dollars on top $AGNC $PSEC. My plan is to not use any more margin unless there is a nice dip in the market. What do you think of my strategy? Also my portfolio consists of $SQ $NET $WMT $MSFT $DKNG $ARKG $NEE $NERD $LUV $CCL [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Dec 2020 01:11 PM PST Does the S&P 500 consist of the 500 largest companies or the 500 "best" companies? For example, are there companies not listed in the S&P 500 that actually has a larger market cap than some of the companies that are in the S&P 500? When will the markets open again? Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:37 AM PST https://market24hclock.com/Trading-Hours tells me that it's nearly two days - but usually, for DE and Austria at aleast - trading starts at 11pm on sundays. Or do we get anything from the Saudi or Swiss exchanges? Any changes in the charts... anything? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 06:50 AM PST There's this share you can buy that consists of little fractions of the top thousand or top five hundred most popular stocks or something. I've forgotten what it's called so if someone knows what I'm talking about could they drop the name of said share in the comments? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 08:15 PM PST Hi, I am a position trader, mostly trend-chasing. I am currently working on a massive project in Google Sheets to create an advanced framework for A, a sophisticated backtesting tool, and B, a live testing tool to create signals for my entries via email. I am looking for someone who is like-minded trading wise, (longer-term trades) and is strictly price action-driven. I am looking for a long term relationship and a business partner for 3, 5, 10 years down the road. Serious inquiries only. DISCLAIMER: I am only 18, but I've been in this space a very long time and I would like to say I pretty much know what I am doing in the markets. PM for discord if interested. Feel free to leave questions below, Thanks. [link] [comments]
