Should my business own my car or should I own my car? (Noob tax related question) Posted: 25 Oct 2020 06:07 PM PDT I'm part of a 3-parnter catering LLC and I do the deliveries with my car. I use the car 75% for business and 25% for personal. Our brand logo is on the car too. From a tax advantage standpoint- which option would be better- having the LLC own the car or having myself own the car? [link] [comments] |
How does a local, service business generate leads? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 04:07 AM PDT Hi, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster in this community. Today I'd really like some advice around how a local service business, of any kind, painter, builder, mobile car mechanic etc, can generate leads. Many of these businesses are very successful from IRL marketing only, but what about digital space? I know that right now, 90% of my business is word of mouth (I have a moving company). Any advice? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
How does shipping from Alibaba work? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 03:45 AM PDT I want to buy a few small towels that don't weigh a lot. When I asked for a sample the seller said I needed to pay 50 USD for freight. I don't know if this price is normal because the towel itself costs only 0.70 USD Also, what if I want to order 200 pieces, are there any costs that I should pay afterwards? I don't want to be surprised! And does it cost a lot of money if I want to print my own logo on it? What are the things I should know before buying from Alibaba? And how does it exactly work? Free appointment booking software? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 09:40 AM PDT Hey, I have a small tech services business, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good appointment booking apps or websites? [link] [comments] |
How To Form An Investment LLC? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 04:12 AM PDT Hello. I and some co-workers want to create a company where we just hold money together in a shared pool and then make investment choices together. We want to pay $10 a week into the company and we've decided to hold a meeting once a week in order to evaluate how the investments are going. I've decided to use Zen Business to make things easier since there are 12-13 of us. We will start out with index funds and CDs until we have enough money, and that we are willing to form an actively-managed portfolio like real estate, commodities, and precious metals, or if we want to actively manage a business as a subdivision. What are the legalities that we should look out for when forming a company? Is there crucial administration work that we might be liable for, or accounting information that we have to keep? Should we consult with a lawyer or accountant before we begin or will Zen Business do all of that work? Are there any resources or materials that I should read that may be important to know? One last thing - if I pay the startup cost to form the LLC, am I allowed to reimburse myself later with the contributions that we will make? Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
Have you ever thought of outsourcing with a remote worker? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 02:12 AM PDT As the title implies, have you ever thought of outsourcing some of your work? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Oct 2020 01:36 AM PDT Looking to buy some whole sale t-shirts? On the nicer side? Looking to get some faded black T's for some retro style shirts! Or loose fitting T's. Know any good websites? [link] [comments] |

Where can I find Drupal developers for hire? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 12:42 AM PDT Where can I find Drupal developers for hire? What trusted sites do you use? Has anyone used clutch.co? [link] [comments] |
Can I “re-brand” a Chinese product? Is that legal? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 04:46 AM PDT Basically, I want to start an online brand. Let's say for press on nails. What I want to do is order some from Alibaba, put a custom logo on it, and sell it for (of course) a profit. I want to put them in nice packaging with little thank you cards and stuff. I just want to call them something like Coco Nails for example. I wouldn't claim I made them or improved them or anything I'd just add a name and some frill. Is this legal? Is it stealing or anything? The seller offers to make custom packaging and logos, though that's not likely where I'd purchase those things. Thanks <3 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Oct 2020 11:15 PM PDT I live in Bangladesh (a country in South Asia) and I am thinking of creating marketing research reports aimed at small foreign businesses (particularly in North America and Europe) looking to import or export to Bangladesh or invest here (set up a sales office, factory etc). But before I can work on making such reports I need to know what metrics/statistics/data such small foreign businesses actually need. So as a small business owner, can you give me some insight? What market research information are you looking for that you will actually pay for? [link] [comments] |

Best way to go about setting up wifi for customers? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 06:50 PM PDT I am looking into providing wifi for our customers. However, we use our internet for perform sensitive and confidential transactions so I am worried it might be a security risk to have it under the same network we do business on. What would you suggest? [link] [comments] |
Would anyone be interested in being part of a small business holiday catalog? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 09:52 PM PDT I started a small business catalog last week that will have a bunch of small shops coming together to promote sales and hopefully make it easier for customers to shop small this gifting season rather than with big corps :/ So far I have 35 shops involved, but I still have slots available in Clothing & Accessories Shops and Bath/Body/Beauty shops! S-Corp: Health Insurance for my spouse and me Posted: 25 Oct 2020 05:59 PM PDT Hi all, I'm self-employed, recently formed a single-member LLC S-Corp and am looking to have my business pay for my health insurance. I understand health insurance premiums are factored as wages on W2, subject to income taxes, and there is also a special personal deduction on SS and Medicare taxes. My spouse is currently unemployed, not a part of the business, has different medical needs than me. How should I purchase health insurance for my spouse and me? Have my company pay for two different plans under the same insurance? Both plans would be factored as my wages, right? Have my company pay for me, and I pay for my spouses plan with my salary? Survey - Problems for Small Businesses Posted: 25 Oct 2020 08:49 PM PDT Hello! I'm a business student and I am conducting a short survey as part of one of my classes to evaluate problems faced by small businesses and how they solve them. I asked the mods and have been given the go-ahead to post the survey here. It's 10 multiple-choice questions and should take less than 5 minutes of your time. I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeNSkxcyFiT0-vM-M8riQXeu9LvGTJWHgNoxoMkjuq1VIj22g/viewform [link] [comments] |

What small businesses use big data? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 10:25 AM PDT I've been building a data documentation tool for small data teams to manage and organize databases that live in different platforms. I'm curious to know what type of small businesses might have data disorganization problems? This will help me better focus my business and determine what market I should target. The website is datalogz.io and the platform allows you to store meta data for all data tables to have one place to search and find data and also understand a data set based on definitions, common questions, and past work on it. Posted: 25 Oct 2020 07:03 PM PDT Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am a student in my first year of college and in our marketing classes, our teacher gave us a project about helping a local business. My team's goal is to find ways to increase funds for a local library through things like donations. I need help and advice on how to go through this project. I went through google and searched and did get some results but I feel like it is not enough. So you people of Reddit are my last hope to perfect this project. Here is the information about the library: Problem Statement The City provides a minimum level of funding to keep the library running, but not enough to allow us to offer the full range of services people have come to expect of a vibrant 21st-century community library. We face a marketing challenge in that people assume that we are just another municipal service. We want to let them know that we are an institution that depends very much on community support and find ways to reach out and ask for their support. This August an ad-hoc fundraising committee from the library board met to begin looking at how to do this. Here is the summary of that meeting: Purpose: Recognizing that the City is unlikely to fund the library at a level that would truly allow us to offer the full range of library services, we need to explore ways to diversify the library's sources of revenue and to seek out additional funding from organizations and individuals alike. Fundraising Campaign(s)
Here is what I have found so far and need advice if it is a possible answer:
For now, that's all I have found. Thank you for your help in advance. [link] [comments] |
