Japan Uighurs Association demands an explanation from companies practicing forced labor in Xinjiang

    Posted: 08 Sep 2020 12:08 AM PDT

As reports revealing the forced labor of Uighurs in China continue, Uighurs in Japan and rights activists are urging Japanese companies to take note of workers' situation and asking that more attention should be paid to China's restrictive policies on the Muslim minority group.

In a press meet in Tokyo on Aug. 28, a group of Uighurs and advocates approached Japanese companies with industries in China to thoroughly probe their supply chains to check whether they are associated with the continuing suppression of Uighurs, The Japan Times reported.

As per the BBC, there has been a drone video showing Uighur people taken blindfolded on trains, and which has been validated by Australian security officials.

Is such marketing strategy for advertising financial products online viable?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 05:59 PM PDT

It appears that it might be pretty cheap, but not sure what conversion I would be potentially looking at. So the plan is as follows.

Advertising through PPC (Google Ads) targeting very cheap national keywords, where a lot of traffic actually searches (for example, I've noticed stuff like 'Jonas Brothers' or 'Selena Gomez' or something like this are pretty cheap keywords, but traffic is huge).

Step 2 would be to target (through Google Ads settings) demographics of age over 18 and low level of income, so the landing page would have some information on an artist and what not, but after say scrolling to a certain position of the web page, the web page would automatically redirect to a payday loan application?

The flow would be like this:

    1. Customer searches for something like 'Selena Gomez'
    2. Customer clicks on the ad that leads to the page on some information about the artist (maybe top music tracks and what not)
    3. Customer scrolls down as he or she is reading
    4. Customer is redirected to payday loan application
    5. Customer submits payday loan application (profit)

Increase online store reviews from loyal customers?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 05:18 PM PDT

Good afternoon all! First time post here.

I'm helping out my father with his online business. He has a devoted clientele who are passionate about his service and health products. He has helped a lot of people.

Currently, the products on the website do not have very many reviews and I was thinking of a workflow that might help. Could someone please confirm if there is a pathway to integrate such a workflow?

    Site information: Wordpress, Woocommerce

    1. Customer purchases a product
    2. Customer receives product via post
    3. 1-2 weeks customer receives an automatic email along the lines of: "Hello ___! How are you finding your product? Please leave a review for your chance to receive 25% off your next order"
    4. Customer leaves review
    5. Customer receives coupon for discount on next order.

Does anyone have experience with this incentivizing customers to leave reviews?

    Help growing business!

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 04:02 PM PDT

I currently own a small business making soap, body scrubs, candles, wax melts, and more. I was wondering what is the best way to get someone to sponsor us, like what YouTubers/magazines etc. we could send stuff to for free to sponsor us.

Anything helps, we just want to grow and get word out about us.

Everything we make is earth friendly and our packaging is biodegradable if that helps.

Remove if this is the wrong place to post.

How to make your business grow again after everything was/is going downwards?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 11:24 AM PDT

To get to the point: My sales have dropped VERY HARD. I started my instagram business last year in june and after 9 months of hard work without making any money my book sales have skyrocketed. However, in the past weeks everything is going downwards. I did less organic advertising which is one reason why my sales dropped but it seems that even with advertising I can't make my sales go up.

No, I haven't started with coachings and yes, I'm aware that books will not do well forever. In fact, my books aren't doing too bad but ever since people are less paranoid about corona it seems they're less interested in books.

    My questions:

    1. How did you handle such experiences in the past and how could you improve? (most important question!)
    2. If anyone here has experience with an instagram business: What was the most profitable good you offered?
    3. A bit off topic: How can I stop stressing myself over that? Actually I don't have to worry but knowing that you still live at your parents house at the age of 24 sucks which is why I push myself so much to make more money because I finally want to be independent.

    Thank you in advance!
