Posted: 29 Sep 2020 12:30 AM PDT Hi everyone! I just wanted to get your feedback on a website I am currently designing for people with disabilities in Australia https://includability.webflow.io/ The link above is a continuation of the project and would love to hear your thoughts and any feedback you can provide. Particularly in its usability/suitability for users with and without disabilities. Although the website is still a work in progress. Feel free to share this with anyone that might be interested. Question about applying for a business license Posted: 29 Sep 2020 12:01 AM PDT I've been reselling stuff during the past few months on websites such as Mercari and eBay, but I'd like to buy stuff wholesale to resell, so I'm applying for a business license so I can get a reseller permit to buy at wholesale pricing. As a reseller, when describing what activities my business will be doing, would I just list it as general retail, or choose "None of the activities listed above describe the business." (I'm applying online and can search for different types of business activities and the only one that seems close to reselling is general retail). Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want to make sure I have my business described correctly when applying and wasn't sure of what would be better. Thanks! [link] [comments] |

I have been struggling with the tech part of my startup idea and it would be a great help if you can lend any tips and tricks on where to find a great co-founder to any business idea that you want to try. Posted: 28 Sep 2020 06:47 PM PDT Our team collects three different sets of information from clients: email messages, client's contact information, and a log of the interaction with them. Currently, we use an online spreadsheet to record the information, but without any link with the email messages as Gmail messages do not have separate URLs. We also have been printing this information and filing it in folders. We are now looking for a way for the information to be collated in a logical manner, where emails would automatically be logged into a document where there is a way to access this email as well. Is there an application available for this? [link] [comments] |

Advice to start up a business as a young female? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 10:58 AM PDT So to start off, I'm a 19 year old female. I know I'm young, I know this is a big endeavor, and I'm not completely serious about it right now, just wanting to know what I would be getting into. Also, any hate comments will be deleted. So: there's this skating rink in my small(ish, theres a university but it's still a small southern town) town, that's been around for like 40-45 years I believe. It was really popular when it was open, especially in the 70s and 80s, you know like it would be. Towards the 2000s and 2010s, it started to become a sketchy hangout on Friday and Saturday nights for teens and others wanting to sell drugs to them (it was only open on weekends), so it deterred a lot of families and just other people in general. It slowly lost business and closed down about 3 years ago. The same old man ran it forever, and I think is wanting (this is rumor) 1-2 million for the establishment. The building is obviously very large, a large skating area, a ramp area that used to be used with skateboards back in the 80s but he eventually banned. There's lots of storage in the back, an arcade area, some vending machines (that you also were never allowed to use) and a side room that people hosted parties in, and bathrooms. It's not the cleanest place, but it's not awful from what I remember. My dad (who went there a lot in the 80s) and I have always talked about opening it up and making it cleaner, more family friendly, and nostalgic. Making it 70s/80s themed, keeping the small old arcade games and pool/air hockey/ping pong tables, having a small snack/concession area, a skateboarding area and opening the ramp area up, keeping the party hosting room, etc. I know this is a huge thing to do, but it includes things I've loved and grown up around, along with my dad. I was wondering how I would go about starting that. Is that something I could get businesses to sponsor? It was a huge thing in my area, especially since there's nothing else to do around here really. The bowling alley (which had about the similar situation, and was bought and fixed up recently) is doing really well, and I would want to do about the same thing with the skating rink. Any advice, steps, anything helps. Thank you all. [link] [comments] |

Can I apply for a resale certificate online in Nj? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 03:08 PM PDT I hope this is the right place to post this! I apologize if it's not. I'm just wondering if I can apply for a resale certificate online in NJ? And if so can I do that now or do I have to wait for my LLC to be delivered from legalzoom? I just filed for my EIN. Thank you so much:) [link] [comments] |
Is there a room for competition here? Posted: 28 Sep 2020 02:17 PM PDT Hello, If a large retail electronics chain in my country sells electronics (computer hardware mostly) at prices that are on average 17% more expensive than the prices in the US - after calculating the country's taxes - is there a room for me to enter this market? They take nearly 20% clean* from the same hardware piece sold in the US (*not completely "clean" - I know they have expenses, but they are the only large retailer here with multiple branches and their net profit is millions). For example, they would sell a power supply that cost 140$ on Newegg/Amazon for 195$ (there is 15% tax here, so after tax it's extra 21%) **The fact is that it's cheaper for me as an individual to order a full PC build parts from Amazon, including the shipping and the calculated tax on the Amazon tax calculator (sometimes by a large amount if there's a good hardware deal on Amazon as often does happen) Thank you for your help [link] [comments] |
