    Legal advice

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 10:38 PM PDT

    Good day ,

One of the Indonesian companies CEO hired me for their digital marketing work .The relationship was going quite good for initial two months and we built mutual trust. I got paid for initial two months for the efforts that I put it. ,I continued to work for 3 months .and I never demanded money 💰 as we build trust..Now this guy keeps ignoring me and not paying me for the 3 months and my all messges /emails going unanswered..Please let me know if there are any legal firms or online consumer forums which can help me to nag down the CEO or the company. It's really tough to survive in this pendemic ,on top of it I wasted my 3 months too without getting paid.

    Thanks in advance .

    Where To Register An LLC?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:01 PM PDT

    How's it going everyone?

Does anyone know the advantages / disadvantages to the location of registering LLCs? It seems like making corporations are registered in Delaware but this is not advised for LLCs for some reason?

It always amazes me how the seemingly simplest stuff in business such as where to form it often have long and complex details.

Policy on selling custom orders from custom ink and others

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 07:11 PM PDT

We're working on getting our business started ( we're making stories for comics and books and later games and even more) we are getting art of our characters and our logo and I was wondering if when I order from places like custom Ink can I just sell those in an online store for profit? Thank you for any help you can give. Not the business account btw so I am not trying to promote.

Can someone ELI5 how Microsoft's Game Pass business strategy is profitable?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 10:03 AM PDT

There's absolutely no denying that if you're a gamer, at the current pricing Game Pass is almost a no brainier deal. To me personally it almost seems too good for the consumer to be true. You get a plethora of games including Microsoft IPs day one for only $10 month, you really can't beat that.

But I'm having a really hard time understand how it's all sustainable. How can they constantly be giving away $60 (now $70) games for a fraction of what they're worth? And I just read today they plan on doing this with all future Bethesda titles. These are franchise like Elder Scrolls that don't need any help selling 5-10 million copies in the first week or two. Im not saying they are going to lose all of their direct sales to Game Pass subscribers, but I imagine it will be a pretty good chunk, when just one game is the same price as 7 months of the service.

I recently read an article from a while back about how Gears 5 broke Microsoft's records by having over 3 million players on its opening weekend. But what I don't understand is, people were in essence playing the game for free. To compare Sony managed to sell, at full price, 5 million copies of God of War in around a month, 2.25 million in the first week, without essentially giving it away as part of a subscription package.

So I thought to myself, maybe Game Pass only makes sense in the context of Microsoft. Where their first party games don't necessarily attract the same level or sales that Sony and Nintendo do, and it's better to just make the $10 off a large portion of people instead of trying to get people to pay $60-70. But now that Microsoft has spent $7.5 billion and is intending to put almost all new games day one the service. I just don't see it, at least not at only $10.

Are they banking on people getting the service, only playing one game, and hoping they forget to turn off their auto-payments? Are they hoping to attract non-gamers who wouldn't be buying games anyways to try to get $120/year out of them? What is exactly their endgame, and is it possible?

Which Emphasis is Stronger for a BS in Business? - Ops Managment or Strategy and Entreprenuership?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:58 PM PDT

    Hello!

I'm looking for a bit of advice and guidance today. I'm studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and have multiple options to pick from as my Emphais tracks for my degree. I currently already have Marketing as one of my emphasis tracks, it's the analytical and data driven branch of Marketing, not just graphic design. But I have space for a second emphasis, and I'm somewhat torn between the Operations Management Track and the Strategy and Entreprenuership Track my business school offers.

I want to work in Brand or Product Management after graduating and at first thought Marketing and Operations Management would be a good combo because marketing and analytical skills combined with knowing how a business operates on a base level would be super valuable. But now I'm taking a Strategy and Entreprenuership class and am really enjoying the content revolving on core competencies of brands and how to manage products and brands overall. I could really care less about studying entrepreneurship, but understanding how to maintain a small or large company could also come in handy as well.

Thanks for reading this, and I really appreciate any input or advice. Have a good day!

    Anxious about the start

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:48 PM PDT

    Hi fellow entrepreneurs!

I've started a marketing agency. Now I've been working on this since April.

Logos, websites, letterheads all the back of house stuff.

We started off on 5th August with physical office and actual employees.

It's almost October now and we have been in loss.

I'm thinking I should end it before it gets too financially straining even though I can still support up till November's end

Am I rushing my decision and should I wait a little while longer and survive in market before turning the profit?

Or should I let it go?

What can i do to make money in a poor country(Serbia) at 16 years old?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 04:20 AM PDT

Some backstory about me, I'm a 16 year old kid from Serbia and i was always fascinated with business and i always dream of being the CEO of a multi billion dollar company that's my number 1 goal in life. I'm currently in high school and i don't really have a job since i legally can't work here until I'm 18 also i can't do side jobs like walking dogs, cleaning pools, washing cars etc... because people here don't want to pay money for things like that when they work for $350 per month. I really want to make some money so i can open something as soon as i turn 18 since i don't really want to work for $350 a month 9 to 5. Thank you for reading my post fellow redditor. If anyone has any advice or tips it will be highly appreciated.

How do you get money to build a hotel?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 01:05 PM PDT

I think I might like to build a hotel someday (One that doesn't belong to a company like the Marriott), but usually building hotels cost millions of dollars, how would you obtain that kind of money because no one really has millions of dollars lying around.
