Small Pizza Still not earning after 2 months Posted: 23 Aug 2020 05:45 PM PDT Hi everyone, So we've put up a small pizza business. We computed each ingredients by grams then divided it to the cost, we also added the cooking cost, box, delivery and fare to buy the ingredients. And that's how we got the production cost of our pizza, then we doubled it to gain profit. But after 2 months we are still not earning. I dont know what's wrong. But did we do our computations wrong? Can you recommend a better approach or computation to clearly gain profit? We are also growing our stock because we are selling growing numbers of pizza day by day, but it seems underwhelming, no profit just growing stocks. Please help. Thank you. [link] [comments] |

I have also ran a liquor store for my uncle for about a year and a half. Cash flow is $360,000k Revenues: $1,320,000 Price with real estate is $1,750,000 Loc: Los Angeles Down: 500k Long term loan would probably be a 30 year fix. Has anybody in the service industry tried demand pricing? Posted: 23 Aug 2020 10:27 AM PDT I do major appliance repairs and have been swamped for months, and regularly lose business because they don't want to wait a week for me to get there. This is completely understandable, since nobody wants to watch their freezer thaw for a week. Has anybody tried any sort of variable pricing based on customer demand/willingness to pay? For example, maybe the customer with the freezer full of thawing food would be willing to pay more than the customer with the squeaky dryer? I sought out some advice from a friend who owns 4 clinics about incorporating or staying sole proprietor. He recommended that I incorporate and create an S-corp to reduce the taxation on the income I accumulate given that it also gives me an added layer of protection against my personal assets. My school said that C-corp and LLC create a better opportunity to grow faster and larger than S-corp and they have found that most contractors prefer those options rather than S-corp which is why they don't offer it. I also don't plan on being a huge outfit, if in the future i do it would be a slow to grow as i would like to maintain control of my company. Still learning about the whole taxation and added layer of protection that incorporating gives me I am just not sure about what I should do with incorporating. Which option is better? I want to supply testing services for high voltage substations in the UK. While this service is niche, it is well in demand. I have experience in this in another country and am quite famililar with the envirioment. To provide this service, i will need to arrange for qualified engineers outside the country for which i need to arrange visas. Therefore prior to proceeding, it makes sense to do quantifiable market research. *My approach * I already have some contacts in the industry and i used a lead generation free lancer to get the email and contact details of the major companies in this industry. In my estimate, my potential client pool is less than 80 companies. To conduct my market research, i plan to start advertising for my services and start making contact with the potential clients. I plan on sending mass emails to the companies i have identified along with an advertising approach on Linked in to these companies. Ideally i should be able to stir up some interest. However i am a little bit lost on exactly how i ASK potential clients whether there is a demand for my services or not. I intend to offer my services and see if it translates to any potential RFQs at which point i can always refuse the work on the pretense of being engaged elsewhere. My intention for this market research is twofold. One i will have concrete information on the viablity of this market and two i will have made contacts in the industry. However, my visa arrangement etc will take atleast 6 months to 8 months to materialise therefore I am afraid of alienating my potential clients by advertising too soon and not being able to supply my services at that point. Accounting software UK suggestions Posted: 24 Aug 2020 02:55 AM PDT Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right subreddit, but basically I have recently started a small business in the UK and I'm looking for a software, accountant (or both?) to help me get started with my spreadsheets which at the moment is all over the place. I am not VAT registered. I deal with 3 different currencies (what my client pays, what I pay my freelancers, and my own currency which is GBP). I use PayPal and Transferwise to receive and send. Because of all the currencies (and my lack of knowledge in bookkeeping), I'm struggling to keep proper records of all of this stuff. I was told about Quickbooks and Xero but I have no idea how good of a fit these will be for me. Other than these what are my options? Ideally I'd like to recruit the help of an accountant to get me started or even do regular bookkeeping with me (this would depend on how expensive/affordable this is) so any leads or advice would be greatly appreciated! A bit about the type of work that I do: accounting & bookkeeping, tax preparation (individual and business), tax planning/projections, estimates, tax advice, IRS problem resolution, etc. I'm pretty much a tax specialist (1040s, 1065, 1120). I have prepared about 1000 tax returns since starting and definitely like what I do. I have helped lots of people save thousands and my clients have all given me great reviews. My goal is to simply increase my clientele. My situation is that I went out on my own (full-time) less than a year ago. Even though I have some clients which I found on freelancer websites, I'm not nearly as busy as I should be, and my rates are much lower than other CPAs. Freelance websites are not efficient (with the online competition and Southeast Asia) and in my environment, there is clearly a race to the bottom. Considering the lockdown (i.e. unable to network in person), what are some good methods or places to pick up clients? I've tried Bing CCP and a referral network, but without significant cost investments, there are no results. It's pretty frustrating because I know CPAs are very busy. Posted: 23 Aug 2020 05:25 PM PDT I'm about to pull the trigger on the following plan to become a Nevada resident and establish a Nevada LLC. I plan to live nomadically. Please critique and question anything I may have missed. Note: I'm planning for the quickest and least expensive residency hack. 1) I currently live in Utah and the closest Nevada city is Wendover. I've got three options: Option I, There is a KOA campground I can rent monthly for $330/mo + electric + $50 deposit upon arrival. Price is based on 1-2 people. Tent sites are not permitted for long term stays (27+ days), so this works only if you have an RV. I don't have an RV... Option II, I've found a few 2bd apartments that rent for $515 + $15 application fee. Option III, ask a friend in Nevada to rent me a room. In any case I need a rental for 60-90 days to ensure I can meet all residency requirements. This first step assures me a) a place to receive mail for proof of residency, and b) a rental agreement for proof of residency (educational enrollment, vehicle insurance card, and a few other docs also would suffice for 'b', do what is quickest/easiest for you). 2) Register my LLC: https://www.nvsilverflume.gov/startBusiness Formation Fee is $75, and Business License Fee is $200. They also have expedite fees, Ex. $125 extra to do everything in hrs. Rather than use rental address in Step 1 (just for residency), I will use my permanent mailbox address and registered agent address. All my physical mail, credit card billing, and business address will be pointed to this address. We've been producing faux leather jackets (and similar materials) for years, but as a (still) small business, we've only been able to offer a single size for each jacket (same models share the same size). As of now and the near future, we aren't able to invest on offering a range of sizes for each model, but we're looking to start online sales soon. What are your thoughts on keeping our limited size offer for each model? We would include the measurements in the description of the product. I've got a team and I know how to execute on our business plan, but none of us have anywhere near the amount of money needed for this venture and we are just unsure of how to move forward with financing to even begin. I will say, we are looking at purchasing an empty warehouse and building in that but I don't know if we should go to a bank to get a loan for the building plus all the supplies necessary or if we will have to try to get investors of some sorts. In addition, there is sort of a childcare shortage/priced out situation happening. I want to provide 4 sessions a day, where parents can bring their children (age 3+) for age appropriate art activities. The shopping center I am looking at has a grocery store, nail salon, gym and a few restaurants - so I'm thinking that parents would be excited to have a place to drop their kids while they run errands or grab dinner. There is also the hope that those same businesses would help spread the word, since ideally I would help bring more people to the strip center! Basic details: - the space is large enough to keep social distance requirements and still have 5-10 kids each session - I would run the classes, I have a degree in Child Dev/CPR certified/all the parenting buzzwords - I want to provide an affordable form of child entertainment/childcare - offer both classes and a "free space" for parents/guardians drop in and do something artsy with their kiddo Does this sound like a good idea?
