Best place to sell hand-assembled jewelry?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 04:02 PM PDT

Hey, everyone! I'm an Etsy seller currently. I'm also thinking about selling hand-assembled (not completely handmade) earrings and maybe key chains. Since they won't be handmade, Etsy is not the place to sell them, so I'm wondering if there is another platform like Etsy where I could sell. Or, which website host is the best if I choose to just create my own site? I've heard a lot of good things about Shopify, but I also want to hear from y'all.

    Question about a delivery business

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 06:45 PM PDT

Not sure if this is right place for this.

So my question is how much can you make off of a delivery if you own a delivery business. Like how much on average? I'm sorry that this is very vague but I'm basically asking if creating a delivery business is really profitable (assuming you have contracts with companies inorder to do delivers), and if so, how profitable?

Apple just became the first US-listed company to reach a $2 trillion market capitalization. Shares of the technology giant rose 1.2% to an all-time high of $467.84 on Wednesday to reach the milestone. Aramco is the only other publicly listed company to have reached a $2 trillion market cap. It broke the threshold in December.

Are there any advertising and marketing consultants here?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:18 AM PDT

My question is: What is the value or validity of becoming an advertising and marketing consultant today?

    A bit of background:

I am a former business owner - commercial filmmaker and photographer. In those years I learned a lot and started to dig deeper into the field of advertising and marketing. I love it.

Since I worked mainly business to business, I found that most of my smaller clients also needed or wanted help in figuring out how to set themselves apart in their industries.

I love helping people with that as well as writing ads, and now I am going to school to polish my approach to business.

    The immediate negative:

Im working in a very conservative and business- booming city of 60,000, which has 2 existing communication companies.

A fair amount of the clients I have worked for are highly skeptical and often micromanage shoots, despite them hiring a professional for their expertise.

These clients often believed that measured and studied approaches are arbitrary choices they can manipulate. (Like people being drawn to simple images, or that audio is more noticeable than visuals for example)

I feel this particular dunning-kruger syndrome stems from the online world of accessible media. Anyone can watch a youtube video on advertising and feel like a genius, then take photos with their phone. Why hire someone? (Not to riff, but I know the whole "well then theyre not your client" - but these clients are a majority of open business)

So, based on my knowledge of this fear, plus established competition, I am worried that a majority of people may not see value in hiring an individual consultant.

If there are any adv & mar consultants in this sub, what are your experiences?
