$AMZN got real competition now? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 09:54 AM PDT Walmart just dropped their equivalent to Amazon prime called Walmart+. This definitely could rock the ecommerce market and do potential damage to Amazon by splitting the consumers down the middle. $AMZN does make a lot of it's money from AWS(Amazon web services), but consumers know them for their insane ability to ship on the same-day (prior to coronavirus at least). What's your thoughts on this? Any potential other ways to affect the stock market that people (like myself) would not think of? [link] [comments]
Opinions on Robot Controlled Portfolios? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:24 PM PDT I've been looking into some of them and they seem pretty neat, especially the low cost ones. Has anyone had good/bad experiences with them? Recommend or would never recommend? I have used Schwab as my brokerage, so it would be their program I would use most likely. Thanks! Please rate my current portfolio allocation (24 yrs old, decades long time horizon) Posted: 07 Jul 2020 06:20 PM PDT 40% Total US market index 20% Developed markets index 20% Emerging markets index 10% US REIT index 10% US Small Cap index Big John Bogle supporter and understand the merits and simplicity of doing a two-fund (total US and total International) but I also have been reading Rick Ferri who has proposed diversifying with non-correlating mixes. My reasoning for the high tilt towards REITs, Emerging Markets, and Small cap is that they're on the high risk, high reward spectrum and I have a lot of years left to take the potential hits. Part of me thinks it's way too heavily weighted to risky equities and that I'm trying to be too clever and I'll end up being one of those guys who thinks they're above average with their superior asset allocation while someone who just bought VTSAX and chilled for the same amount of decades will be much better off. I think I feel more security to my slice and dice methodology because I'm doing it with index funds and not individual stocks (which is certainly a losers game). What do you think, is the slice and dice method just as irresponsible and risky as stock picking in the long run? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 08:16 PM PDT So I have been following the vaccine race closely and have investments in Pfizer, Inovio, and AstraZeneca. Needless to say I've done well, but the thing which I don't quite understand is a company like NovaVax receiving over a billion dollars this week to advance their vaccine development where more established companies have received less. I've been trying to find articles regarding why and how they won this absurd amount of money considering that they're still in Phase 1 trials. Inovio not rocketing up past $35 confused me after they released their findings from their trials, and also are in the process of a peer to peer review soon to be published. But novavax hasn't published as much data and yet has an astronomical stock price out of all the major competitors Moderna AstraZeneca Pfizer Wondering if anyone has any speculative opinions regarding this or hard data to solidify why their stock is so high and how they were able to receive such a large amount from the government. Am I too late to buy Tesla stock now? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 02:27 PM PDT I've been having Tesla stuck in my head for a while now and those last 5 days have been amazing for Tesla shareholders (congrats!) where the stock increased up to 40% which I have never seen before I've always monitored Tesla from the sideline and always wanted to become a shareholder, but I prioritised my stock wishlist in an order where Tesla is not up yet (I only started investing in the US stock market 2 months ago) I used Etoro as a tool to give me all the vital info about the stock I'm interested in, and according to the app, it predicts a downturn up to 40% (825$ per share) a year from now, and they imply that the overall consensus is Hold (buy 28%, hold 40% and sell 32%). I know that it's only a prediction and it's impossible to predict what will happen in the future, but since the stock price has skyrocketed up to a intriguing height by a month's span, it's become quite tricky to know where to enter as a Tesla shareholder now so I'd like to hear from you guys what you'd do if you were in my shoes The majority of the Youtubers are very bullish on Tesla in the long term and I agree with what they say as they back it up with very legitimate facts, but my problem is that I have a tough time to decide if I should just buy and pretend that this increase never happened or if I should maybe wait for a few weeks and see if the share price comes "down to reality" since a 40% increase during 5 days is baffling What do you guys think, I'd appreciate an in-depth insight from my fellow investors - Thanks! Hedging the Market with Inverse Weighted ETFs Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:43 PM PDT I know that inverse weighted ETFs are meant for one day bets on the market but with all the uncertainty, does it make sense to slowly build on or hold a small percentage holding in an inverse weighted ETF as a hedge for 3-6months? I see that they seem to really spike in a selloff. Does this make sense as a hedging strategy? [link] [comments]
Where would the stock market be without Corona? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:13 PM PDT Where would we be if it wasn't for the corona scare and oil wars in March? Would SPY be at 400? Would we be even lower than today? since tech stocks wouldn't be as valuable because remote work would not be as big? What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 12:21 PM PDT LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WEP Clinical (WEP), a specialist pharmaceutical services company, has signed an exclusive agreement with Nabriva Therapeutics (Nabriva) to supply XENLETA® (lefamulin) on a named patient or expanded access basis. The Named Patient Program (NPP) is designed to ensure that physicians, contingent on meeting the necessary eligibility criteria and receiving approval, can request IV or oral XENLETA on behalf of patients who live in certain countries where it is not yet available. XENLETA was discovered and developed by Nabriva (NASDAQ: NBRV), a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on commercialization and development of anti-infective agents. It is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP) caused by susceptible microorganisms. XENLETA is the first and only oral and IV pleuromutilin empiric antibiotic that acts against the pathogens that commonly cause CABP. Nabriva announced on May 29th that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) adopted a positive opinion recommending approval of XENLETA for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in adults when it is considered inappropriate to use antibacterial agents that are commonly recommended for the initial treatment of CAP or when these have failed. The CHMP opinion will be reviewed by the European Commission (EC), which has the authority to approve medicines for all 28 countries of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. A regulatory decision is anticipated during the second half of 2020. [link] [comments]
Automatically sell shares at a predetermined higher stock price Posted: 07 Jul 2020 07:22 PM PDT Hello. Newbie/dumb question here. How do set up a trade to automatically sell shares at a predetermined higher stock price? Say I bought 100 shares of XYZ at $100 and want to sell it once stock price hits $110? Thanks! Posted: 07 Jul 2020 06:34 PM PDT Thoughts on all three valuation and future growth potential. All are doing well after the March dip , is there a path to a decent entry point for a mid to long hold or has the ship sailed here . [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:53 PM PDT I have notice these past couples months that there's two main types of traders. Those who looking at charts and graph and those who look at balance sheet. Which one do you prefer? What are the advantages of each one? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:46 PM PDT Obviously this stock is a long term hold and a top notch security to invest. But what are your predictions on the next 9 days leading to the earnings and the fall out soon after? My thoughts (and I have 20 shares invested at $180 FYI): It dipped today, perhaps it dips again tomorrow. But then rallies until earnings and then there is a sell-off due to FOMO maybe. Personally, I will keep DCA'ing with MSFT and sell in three years to buy my mama and I a house. Love this stock [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:14 AM PDT Hello everyone I've been thinking about buying stocks from Nvidia and/or AMD for a few weeks now but I'm really unsure if this is a good time. I was therefore hoping for some opinions/inputs from your side. Especially Nvidia has been going high lately which almost looks a bit too good - or not? [link] [comments]
Investing in US stocks as a non resident Posted: 07 Jul 2020 10:33 AM PDT I live in the US and actively invest in the stock market through Robinhood. I'm making plans to move overseas in the future so I'm wondering if I can continue investing in the market using RH? Can someone suggest a better investment platform to continue investing as a non resident? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:13 AM PDT Market Notes: Markets are rather choppy as tech stocks march higher. Nasdaq posted another record high close yesterday posting gains of 2.2%. The overall market posted gains of 1.5% trying to break through a critical line of resistance. Gains of 1% or more are not typical of bull markets. Nothing is typical this year though so I'm trying to take everything just one day at a time. Futures are pointing towards a lower upon, I expect some buying at the open. Watchlist: CPSH is a low float resistance at $2.60 AREC is a low float, on watch NH is a low float, watching for a continuation TRIB is a low float, resistance at $2.80 UMRX is a low float, on watch BLNK is a low float, resistance at $8.50 CBAT is a low float, support at $1.20 LIVX has support at $4 SOLO watching for a setup above $6 YCBD has resistance at $2.54 MOGU watching for a setup above $3 LPCN has resistance at $1.50 TIGR watching for a continuation GLG watching for a setup above $2.40 WTER has resistance at $2.10 NAK has support at $1.70 [link] [comments]
What are you buying / looking at atm? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 08:24 AM PDT As title says, I'm looking for new companies to research since I've exhausted my shortlist over the last months (being able to open a couple positions I've been waiting for for a while). I'm mostly value investing / dividend oriented, but I'm willing to look into anything that peaks my curiosity as long as it is individual stocks. [link] [comments]

Is $PLNT overvalued? I want to hear some other people’s opinions. Posted: 07 Jul 2020 07:54 AM PDT Here's some recent news that leads me to believe $PLNT will tank. •200 members were recently exposed to covid at one of their gyms in West Virginia. Because of this states will be more likely to close gyms if cases start to increase again • Google trends shows a huge increase in number of people trying to cancel their membership Google Trends •Customers are pissed and canceling memberships because planet fitness's response to the George Floyd protests was giving police officers free memberships for a full year. (angry customers ) •The largest planet fitness franchisee, PF United has more than 20% of their gyms in Arizona. About 5 days ago Arizona's Gov. Doug Ducey released an executive order to close all gyms. • Customers are upset because they were charged with an annual fee even though their gyms have been closed for months. (twitter posts Here are some other reasons I think $PLNT will tank • Analysts expect this quarter sales to be $41.08 million. During the same quarter last year Plant fitness reported $181.66 million in sales. Suggesting a negative year to year growth rate of -77.4% • Planet fitness has a net debt and long term liabilities of almost 7x the last twelve months EBITDA. (If a company net debt to EBITDA ratio is higher than 4 or 5 its usually a red flag) •Planet Fitness has a ton of older members and they most likely will cancel their membership until there is a vaccine [link] [comments]
Palantir Technologies IPO can turn a Profit? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 11:12 AM PDT Palantir Technologies founded since 2003 17 years ago has not turned a profit, is it possible the company can reasonably make a profit in the next 2 to 5 years after the IPO? [link] [comments]
Board Member stock buying - good or bad? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 11:09 AM PDT I've seen Nordic American Tankers twice now in the past few weeks release a statement regarding "high-ups" purchase stock of their own company. Is this a sign of things to come? I've never seen this before in a company that I'm invested in. I want to believe that it's a good sign, and that it's safe to assume that the board members believe the stock is undervalued... right? [link] [comments]
Should I buy stocks on NASDAQ or XETRA? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:08 AM PDT Hi, I want to buy Apple stocks using Degiro. They are offered on NASDAQ (in USD) and XETRA (in EUR). I'm based in Czechia (my base currency is CZK) and I plan to keep the stock for a long time. Should I buy on NASDAQ or XETRA? Are there advantages or disadvantages? Tax considerations maybe?
