Daily FI discussion thread - May 14, 2020 Posted: 14 May 2020 01:06 AM PDT Please use this thread to have discussions which you don't feel warrant a new post to the sub. While the Rules for posting questions on the basics of personal finance/investing topics are relaxed a little bit here, the rules against memes/spam/self-promotion/excessive rudeness/politics still apply! Have a look at the FAQ for this subreddit before posting to see if your question is frequently asked. Since this post does tend to get busy, consider sorting the comments by "new" (instead of "best" or "top") to see the newest posts. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 May 2020 01:28 AM PDT Hey everyone, I'm a big believer in community resources and a massive Google Sheets fan, so I'm releasing my automated Google Sheet that has helped me track my Networth and Financial situation month to month. I've found this has been great to know how I'm going in progressing towards FIRE. I religiously devour Personal Finance content from all kinds of sources (Articles, Books, Reddit), and I tried to build all the lessons and rules I've learned into the sheet. I've been using it for around a year now and posted it in a few smaller finance subs where it's been well received by a number of people. Some of the features of the Sheet:
The sheet only requires you to update a few values each month and automatically crunches everything else through a variety of formulas and scripts that run behind the scenes. Feel free to edit them yourself in Tools -> Script Editor. I've used this sheet myself for quite a while and it's been great to see how I'm saving. I've been using this while earning and living in Aus but I converted it to a US version after I received some interest from a few people from the US in the Australian FIRE subreddit. If you have any feedback please let me know! I'd love to make it better for people. [link] [comments] |
