In a nutshell, you would enter in your workers, their wage and availability, and your needs for the week. Then press a button and out pops a mathematically optimal (lowest cost subject to constraints) schedule. I am wondering if this would actually help people who have to make schedules each week. That is, would you expect this to save you a significant amount of time and hassle? Also, would you be happy with a lowest cost schedule that had everyone working when they could and the number of workers you needed at each time? | I need advice on project management and meetings! Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:36 PM PDT I have recently been promoted at work, my new main task is to create a new IT solution for my company. We are a large public transport company i will represent my department, Traffic Control, in meetings with a lot of different departments such as staff planning, timetable planning, Corporate security, depot management, vehicle maintenance, etc etc. Together we are going to develop a new IT solution that incorporates the many many programs we use today. 10-20 different programs and softwares will become one. I won't be doing any programming or coding though, just demonstrate our needs and work out how to incorporate them with everyone elses. This is the first time i have a role like this so i would like to ask for some advice about how to organise my work in a project of this scale, the deadline is one and a half years. I also have been selling products on Etsy just rings, airpod case and watches which pretty in consistent.
