Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:35 AM PDT Multi-generational companies going under. How do you not have enough cash in the bank after 40 years of service? Something isn't adding up. I understand there's a lot of different circumstances and not referring to businesses that started in the past year or so unless it was a risky industry, like gyms. [link] [comments] |

Scheduling Workers Application Posted: 03 Apr 2020 10:34 PM PDT I tried to crosspost this from r/managers but wasn't allowed, so I will ask directly: I am giving serious thought to building an application to schedule workers and wanted to ask managers about the hassles involved with this and if you could see such an application actually helping you. In a nutshell, you would enter in your workers, their wage and availability, and your needs for the week. Then press a button and out pops a mathematically optimal (lowest cost subject to constraints) schedule. I am wondering if this would actually help people who have to make schedules each week. That is, would you expect this to save you a significant amount of time and hassle? Also, would you be happy with a lowest cost schedule that had everyone working when they could and the number of workers you needed at each time? Thanks for any answers and insight you guys can give:) [link] [comments] |

Best website aggregator of State level government contracts? Posted: 03 Apr 2020 12:16 PM PDT Anyone know a good website that lists and notifies government contracts posted by every state? I've found a lot, but there's no way to tell how reliable they are. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:38 PM PDT Hello, I'm a young professional business woman, but I do not own a business. I am taking a leap of faith and drastically changing my career path. I want to go into luxury retail as a Logistics or Operations manager. What should I put in my business card as my title being I don't own a company and I haven't applied to any jobs yet? I need advice on project management and meetings! Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:36 PM PDT I have recently been promoted at work, my new main task is to create a new IT solution for my company. We are a large public transport company i will represent my department, Traffic Control, in meetings with a lot of different departments such as staff planning, timetable planning, Corporate security, depot management, vehicle maintenance, etc etc. Together we are going to develop a new IT solution that incorporates the many many programs we use today. 10-20 different programs and softwares will become one. I won't be doing any programming or coding though, just demonstrate our needs and work out how to incorporate them with everyone elses. This is the first time i have a role like this so i would like to ask for some advice about how to organise my work in a project of this scale, the deadline is one and a half years. I would also like some advice on how to act in meetings and how to get my point across. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
From 3rd world to one of the top 10 economies. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:28 PM PDT Hello guys, I've read couple of reports forecasting that my country (which is a 3rd world country) would be one of the top 10 economies within 10 years. My question is, knowing that information what should I do? What business should I start? Knowing that info? Thanks guys! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:50 PM PDT I'm currently in the Army and looking to start a side business, in the last year I've been looking at starting a business with phone cases and 3d sublimation where a custom design is printed on the case. I also have been selling products on Etsy just rings, airpod case and watches which pretty in consistent. So my question is, would the phone case business be a good choice it would require all the supply which I can purchase all at caseescape.com or keeping going with etsy? [link] [comments] |
