Given what's going on with the market, and the fact that I'm quarantined and not doing anything other than getting up to work, I thought it'd be fun to do an AMA and foster some discussion on the board. My background: Graduated from a non-target school Hired directly to my current firm out of undergrad, I had past internship experience at investment management firms (see my "Intern AMA" post for background) Three years experience as a generalist analyst focused on long / short credit, capital structure arbitrage, distressed investing, par credit investing, special situations equities, etc. I am NYC based and for privacy purposes won't provide any details which could be identifying. European Insurance Sector Posted: 26 Mar 2020 02:28 AM PDT Hello Guys, Hope in this time all are keeping indoors, keeping safe. I started a new job recently where in im to work in insurance sector of European Markets. Brief background: I have been working on Banks and NBFCs uptill now and have fairly good understanding of analyzing their financial statements. I was hoping if anyone could help with any education material on how to analyse the Insurance Sector companies, be it life insurance, specialty insurance, general insurance etc. Few KPIs and their calculations to their implications.
