Trying to choose between business schools Posted: 29 Mar 2020 12:04 AM PDT What is the best choice between these two. I've heard various things before BC, some say it is a very nice school that leads to great communication, and some say it is not a goal. I have also heard mixed feelings at New York University. Posted: 28 Mar 2020 10:01 PM PDT I am thinking of hiring people, and they can all be virtual. I don't have the knowledge and wherewithal to hire full-time employees. I originally wanted to get independent contractors in my city, but I can't figure out all the rules, and I don't have the time or ability, so I don't even want to chance it or fuck with it. All I want to know is if I am in California, and hire an independent contractor in Boston, does that whole AB-5 thing go away for me? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:32 PM PDT Hello I have recently got admitted into UC Berkeley for an Economics major and I was wondering if this was the right decision or if I should go to another college under business management. This is my following dilemma... My father owns a flight school focused on doing business with airlines specifically targeted in Asia. After college I already have a spot as a pilot for Delta airlines. My career will mainly be focused as an airline pilot. I DO NOT need my major for a job within another established business if I plan on co-sharing the executive position with my father. I just need the background knowledge and basis on how to manage a business. So, what I planned on doing at Berkeley was taking business classes (HAAS) on the side while maintaining a major as economics. These classes will of course not be to teach me how to run a flight school but only the fundamental basis of running a business. Would this plan be beneficial or is attending a college as a business major better for my future as a CEO of my own flight school? [link] [comments] |
Business Information Systems Career Field Posted: 28 Mar 2020 03:42 PM PDT Hi, is anyone here a BIS major or has some experiencing working in jobs and careers relating to Business Information Systems? I'm a Business Administration major who is trying to figure out what to get into in business. One of the degrees offered at my university is Business Information Systems, and I'm curious to learn more about different experiences from anyone who has completed this degree or working in a Business Information Systems career. Would you recommend pursuing this career field? [link] [comments] |
Should companies still do April Fools' Day pranks this year? Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:13 PM PDT Wanted to have a discussion and see if it makes sense to post a prank this year with the ongoing pandemic. Our company's opinion is that people still need a laugh, but to stay clear of any COVID-19 related jokes. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Does this type of company or freelancer exist and what are they called? Posted: 28 Mar 2020 12:54 PM PDT If a company (lets say a smaller business and not some massive billion dollar corp) wants to purchase IP, property, or assets from another business or from someone who owned a business that shutdown due to poor management. Is there a company or freelancer that the buying business can hire to make contact with the other business or individual and negotiate a deal on behalf of the buyer? That way the buyer gets the best deal possible and the negotiation is handled by a professional who can best navigate the pitfalls such as a greedy seller or one that has negative emotions attached to an asset. Mental health in the workplace Posted: 28 Mar 2020 06:22 AM PDT Hi everyone Open conversations about mental health and wellness have slowly started to increase in recent years, especially as corporates realize how it can decrease productivity. With COVID-19 tearing through industries (destroying businesses, jobs and forcing sudden transitions to remote work), I think now is an interesting time to talk about mental health in industry. Should we expect an incoming urgency to track and manage employee well-being? What is happening / has been happening at your company? [link] [comments] |
