What skill is rare that can be potentially learnt from home and is extremely valuable in the workplace and will really boost my CV?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 01:21 AM PST

I am at a bit of a crossroads with my life, I have an undergraduate degree and an MSC in International Business. I am now looking for a job but I dont have anything on my CV that makes me stand out from the rest of the crowd.

I am wondering if there are any skills that I should learn that would really help my chances of securing a good job? A few of the thoughts I have had are coding, or continuing my education into accounting and becoming a chartered accountant.

    Thanks in Advance

Should some business try new things every year?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 01:07 AM PST

I know some businesses will release a new product every year or try to add a new marketing channel(i.e this year adding facebook ads or creating an instagram account). Generally the idea that a business every year should release better things (new improved products or tweaks to old ones, new ways to reach more people).

Example: If i was selling kitchen knives the goals is to year over year make the knives better, and to try to get it into more stores, and get more people to see the product by direct ads. Then try to make entirely new knives(bread knives, steak knives), or new category of product like (silverware, or maybe pocket knives).

The goal is to reinvest the revenue to make better things, reach more people, create a reputation? The general idea is to make everything more appealing(product, brand), and to catch the attention of more people?

In this article, I will show you how to start a blog in 2020 with a step-by-step guide. Follow these 6 easy steps to start a profitable blog.

    What is a Blog?

A blog is a kind of website that highly focused on a topic or niche, and has numbers of written content regarding that niche. The written content of a blog is known as blog posts. A blog post usually contains a specific topic covered by the blogger.

Blog posts are appearing in the reverse order on the blog page, which means the recent post is hanging at the top of the blog page. Most bloggers write their perspective on a topic and want to engage with their readers. As a blogger, you don't need to be a professional writer to write a blog. SMMA or consulting agency?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2020 04:16 PM PST

Hi reddit, I'm currently a gap year student who needs to decide whether to commit to building a social media marketing agency or a consulting company.

I have foolishly gone through the start of both an smma course and consulting course and I have taken action on things like choosing a niche, defining target audience, niche research, positioning etc for both.

Any feedback would be appreciated thanks.

What do people mean when they say "you need to have systems in place" when they speak of running a bar/restaurant?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2020 11:05 AM PST

I have a simple dream of opening a bar. A bar that can become a sort of cultural hub for people and help promote art and various things.

I've been reading a fair bit about management and etc, but i know i still have a lot to learn, and one thing that confuses me is when people talk about systems. Do they mean the way the place is organised in terms of who does what and who is above who? Are they talking about the billing and accountability systems that keep track of what happens in the bar?

If anyone knows, I'd love to understand more, and if there's any advice you'd think i should know, feel free to say. Anything that can help me understand this whole world of management.
