Posted: 03 Dec 2019 08:27 AM PST News broke out today saying that the trade deal maybe not be completely until after the election in November. Market reacted terrible yesterday today (as expected) & drop almost 2% today. Is this a buying opportunity or do you guys think the market will continue to dip for a while? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:26 AM PST I see FINRA/SEC just approved their name change (from WMEG to now, STSN) - How come they are uploading now like 2 years worth of filings - does this mean reverse merger? https://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/STSN/disclosure Looking at the share structure, there is only a 1.5 million float. Prob lowest iv seen in a while. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]
Holding cash on the side (what is too much?!) Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:57 PM PST I'm currently 80% invested in the markets and was thinking of cutting back to 50% or less. Is that too much cash to hold? [link] [comments]
December (will it go higher or go down like 2018?!) Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:56 PM PST December off a bit of a rocky start with the headlines etc. What are your thoughts for the markets performance for December. Personally I think the market isn't reacting to trade news as badly as before. Sure there is some sell off but if anything some consolidation before we reach higher would make sense at this point. Looking forward to hearing people's thoughts! [link] [comments]
Honest Advice Needed (Best Options To Put Money To Work) Posted: 03 Dec 2019 01:46 PM PST All - I know that there are likely a ton of similar threads to point me to, but I wanted honest feedback from the group based on where we stand today and what you would do in this situation. I am a 33 YO currently sitting on ~$360k of cash at the moment... and I am terrified to dump this cash in the market as of Dec-19 (I have another ~$250k in my 401K / IRA accounts and ~$25k in another personal brokerage account). This large cash amount is currently sitting in a Chase Private Client Savings account which yields almost zero interest (clearly *not* the best place for it to be parked). I am considering putting amounts into a High-Yield bank account yielding 1.75-2.00% and/or a combination of a few somewhat safe ETFs. Any advice on how to make the most of this cash balance? How is the Price of Stock Determined?? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 12:42 PM PST I'm a bit new to stock trading so bare with me here. I always thought that the price of a stock was determined by the value of the company divided by the number of shares existing. So, for example, let's say "Company A" is worth $1,000 and 100% of the company is publicly traded on the stock market. Let's also say it has a total of 20 shares, therefore, giving it a share price of $50 per share. The price of each share then fluctuates based on how the value of the company changes over time. Is this how it works or is the price determined in an entirely different way?? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2019 10:40 AM PST I have been selling options for 6 months. I was down on a few of my big stocks so I decided to trade some options. The first month I made 25% which is crazy then I went crazy lost it all made 20% back then lost it. Now I am down 10%. I feel like I have a good strategy but I don't know if I am going crazy or if I am a good trader. Do you guys think I should stick with it or go back to stocks? [link] [comments]

Medallion Signature Guarantee? Need advice for removing a deceased person from jointly owned shares? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 09:09 PM PST My stepdad recently passed away. My mother now has a bunch of jointly owned stock that she needs to remove his name from so that she can cash out. The shares are from multiple companies and are being held by Computershare. She's been told that she needs a medallion signature guarantee to do so. She has no idea how to proceed, and neither do I (Google has been unhelpful), so I thought you guys might have some advice.
