Posted: 05 Dec 2019 11:17 PM PST Many retail behemoths have gone bankrupt for various reasons over the last decade. This has been due to mismanagement, unwillingness to adapt/evolve, inability compete with an ever growing ecommerce market share, etc. In order to maintain competitiveness in a brick and mortar world, do you think more companies will adapt to this model? Many malls are slowly dying as rent gets ever more expensive. At a small sacrifice of profit margins that will be shared with the manufacturers, department stores will be able to stock almost whatever they want without having to worry about stagnant inventory. Brands won't have to rent out entire stores as now people can now treat their sections like a showroom and allow customers to order whatever isn't shown right from the store. It's essentially the equivalent of slotting fees for grocery stores but for products that never expire. While the whole Toys R Us big brother surveillance aspect and how all of their kiosks direct customers to order from Target is highly unusual, what do you all think of this model being replicated in the future? Aside from who's responsible for spoilage, what do you think the strengths and pitfalls of this model are? [link] [comments] |

Tell me why this idea doesn't work Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:51 PM PST On Alibaba, iPhones in bulk are being sold for as low as $399 apiece. Why would I not just buy these iPhones in bulk and resell then for an easy profit? [link] [comments] |
Where can I find a business partner within the cannabis industry? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 01:49 PM PST I'm working on building a brand within the cannabis industry. I wouldn't be selling any cannabis products or CBD, only glass merchandise and apparel. I have realized that, as much as I am ambitious to do all of this myself, I feel overwhelmed and way in over my head with certain things. I can't use Google or Facebook ads to drive traffic to my products, but I do have a growing social media presence that I believe will generate a good amount of sales, if I execute this properly. I also have a very small starting budget, which also makes things tricky. I'm wondering if there's any resource you guys might know about that can link me up with other entrepreneurs within the cannabis industry. Investors, business partners, suppliers, etc. Any relevant info and suggestions are very helpful and appreciated. If you work in this industry, I'd love to pick your brain! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Dec 2019 04:40 PM PST I started to sell phone accessories on Amazon (headsets, cases, etc.) I know it's still early but I want my products to actually "sell" now. What's the best way to do that? I've been hearing about paid reviews but I'm reluctant about it. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Dec 2019 12:18 PM PST Hi everyone, I'm currently wanting to start and register a business but am confused by part of the process (I'm in UK). I've got a company name that I really want to use for the future (let's call it abc). At the moment I do not have enough understanding and experience to run a limited company but am happy to start and run as a sole trader. I was just wondering if I register as a sole trader and call it abc and I decide to switch to limited company in the future if you are able to transfer the name of abc to the limited company. If this is not possible is there a way of reserving the name. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Should I sell myself with the product or separate myself from the product? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:45 AM PST Hello guys hope you're doing alright. I sell a book subscription service in my beautiful country Namibia and I was wondering if I should sell myself with the product by using personal pronouns like "I" or should I separate myself to sound more professional like "We here at LAEbooks..." Measuring Continuous Improvement Posted: 05 Dec 2019 10:54 AM PST I am in charge of a programming department at my company. One of the qualities I value in employees is their commitment to staying on top of new language/framework features and constantly improving their knowledge in different programming languages/concepts. I am trying to find a way to measure this on a monthly basis so that I can reward those who excel in this metric. Does anyone have any ideas for how to measure continuing education/improvement?
