Just won the lottery for 20k

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 12:59 AM PDT

So I just won the lottery for 20k, I'm not gonna say what specific lottery ticket I bought or where I bought it.

I'm here because I was hoping for some good advice about a smart way to invest this money since I don't really need it for anything specific right now. I don't want to put it into the stock market bcuz most people that do this don't get rich, and there's high probability that they won't get a good return on their investment in stock market, and if the stock market crashes then they are fucked, it's just too risky and I never heard of anyone actually getting rich by investing in the stock market, usually people acquire long term permanent wealth by starting their own business and if it is a success then they are good.

I was thinking the smartest thing to do would be to buy part of a franchise or two and open up my own franchise store of some franchise company, I don't think opening a phone service store or a restaurant is the smartest option tho bcuz its the most common so much lesser chance of gaining much profits.

I think the smartest option would be to buy a part of a franchise in the energy industry or something less common or something like that, I'm sure there are some good options someone can do using 20k, that's why I'm here hoping that someone can give me some good advice and some good ideas. Also, if I opened up my own store or something using my 20k, would I be able to work full time or part time on another job? Or would I have to devote all my time to my store? Is it possible to do both?

Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas, I really appreciate it.

    Business idea

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:21 PM PDT

Have you guys noticed that : eating out is very difficult and expensive.

    in an area, typically,

You find few outlets selling pizza or burger, you find a restaurant in which meals are quite expensive, and that's it.

Here you have : only few foods, and they are expensive

    You can eat almost nothing,

    Eating out is nearly impossible

    Do you guys see ?

    This model is very inefficient

    Something important is missing

It is : a restaurant where food keeps changing, food changes every day

    Chefs also rotate

This restaurant is going to serve thousands of foods over the course of time

A meal is going to be cheap

You will be able to eat thousands of foods

Eating out will finally become possible

    This model is way better

Out of state buying California Wholesale

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 04:30 PM PDT

Finally got in contact with a business i've been wanting to buy from, they are located in California.

I'm registered in Missouri and have a Missouri Sales License. I'm a little confused on California policy.

Currently filling out a wholesale customer form now, I need to provide them with my resale number. Is it acceptable to provide them with my Missouri one or do I have to have a California one?

I am buying items from them and selling out of Missouri.

I found a way to let customers share *dynamic* feedback, without negative reviews. ... It will save some online retailer millions of dollars per year to finally stop encouraging the customer to leave reviews in a format that encourages the nocebo effect (no more 4-star, 3-star, 2-star reviews)

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 02:42 PM PDT

There doesn't seem to be a way to reach someone at Amazon.com who can look over the idea. ... I think that a mid-sized online retailer will be my ideal audience (a company that is big enough to benefit massively, yet hungry enough to want to improve their customer interface).

I read an awesome book called "One Simple Idea" about how to license ideas that are slight improvements on profitable systems, where the company (if they want the idea) pays for the patent, drafts a legal agreement for both parties to sign, and writes the Freelance Product Developer (me) a quarterly check for a 2%-12% commission on the profit from the idea. Or a flat "finders fee" upfront.

    The SMMA Gold Rush

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 12:11 PM PDT

There are thousands of ecommerce stores being made every day, it is quite literally a gold mine everyone is trying to make the next top store. And as a social media marketer selling marketing services for these stores is like selling shovels during a rush.

So instead dont jump in the mine trying to find the gold like most people be the one who sell the shovels. Use your skills to help these stores get results.

So I tested this out myself and the first few days hindered amazing results, take a look :) https://youtu.be/aUAQlCj-ezU

[Question] How to measure impact of an internal survey?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 10:03 AM PDT

    Hi,

I'm currently working on the BPO industry and I scripted an internal survey for our employees. The main questions is whether they found coaching to be effective, and how easy is it to work with their team manager.

The survey is ready to be implemented using a script that keeps employee's responses anonymous. My boss also found the idea interesting, but would like to know what financial impact could we expect, before starting to collect data.

This would be the first time we implement such survey internally, and though I believe firmly coaching and management are key part of service delivery, I don't know where to start measuring this survey's possible impact.

Any ideas or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Protecting profits in a start up

    Posted: 31 Oct 2019 08:19 AM PDT

Hello all this is my first post here, please move this if it's in the wrong place.

My business partner and friend are starting a nano brewery, part time, as we continue working our day jobs. We will be working out of a friends existing space so overheard will be minimal.

The goal is to bank our profits towards opening our own spot.

Any advice on company structure, where to keep the profits, best way to keep the government from taking a big chunk of it?

    We're in Pennsylvania. Thanks!
