I am doing door to door sales and have some concerns... Posted: 27 Oct 2019 10:14 AM PDT So, I am pretty good at connecting with people and making them like me. However, doing d2d it all feels pretty scammy. The idea is you will switch to solar and save a little bit (varies from homeowner to homeowner) rather than paying your electric pill. And of course after decade or so you finish paying them off and the real saving start. However, what stops people from just buying there own system straight up or getting a loan through the bank to do this? My managers don't tell me, but solar is not THAT expensive that you will have to finance it for 15 years or whatever... They also compare it to getting a mortgage, but I figure that's different since a house cost $200,000k+ and not $10k. I would be a lot better at my job if in my head I could justify the deals I am offering these people. [link] [comments] |
SF Bay Area vs NYC for tech sales Posted: 27 Oct 2019 10:59 AM PDT Hi everyone, I'm in my mid-20s with 3 years of B2B tech sales experience, currently living in the SF Bay Area. Promoted 4 months ago from SDR to Account Executive at my current company. I sell to technical buyers (IT / Engineering / InfoSec) and want to stay on this career path. The Bay Area has the highest pay, largest tech industry presence, progressive work culture, and fast career progression but overall quality of life in the region is declining. Based on initial research NYC could provide better QOL while still maintaining VHCOL earning potential. Questions:
Overall, would you recommend making the move? Let me know if you need more details, and I appreciate your advice. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Oct 2019 04:27 PM PDT Hi all, I hope this is the right place for this question. A brief introduction of me: i am a software developer With some social skills ;) Together With a partner we developed a great SaaS product. The only thing is, we tried marketing through facebook, LinkedIn and Google. We also tried cold calling but it doesn't seem the right way. With social media it looks like we are shooting with blanks. Or so it seems like it. So my question is, how do i sell it properly? We are on a very tight budget but we really want to get out there. Any advice or pointers would be really appreciated. I am not skilled in sales but eager to learn. [link] [comments] |

What is a good commission for a web development sales person? Posted: 26 Oct 2019 03:41 PM PDT This post is not an attempt to recruit sales people. I have never hired a sales person and I would like to hire someone in the future. Do I need to pay them a wage + commissions or are there people that work on commissions only? Is it even legal for me to ask them to work on commissions only? I probably can't afford to pay a wage but I was thinking about offering 50% commission. On my end, the financials work so long as I can get more customers. But I really need to spend less time procuring customers and more time on what I do well, which is web development. Posted: 26 Oct 2019 12:12 PM PDT Hey everyone, we are a marketing agency working mainly with US clients. Currently we need a few cold callers to warm up leads in business coaching, real estate and health care niches. Your job is essentially lead qualification, find out if the lead has budget and isn't working with any agencies at the moment then the target is to schedule a second call with one of our specialists that will tell then more details about what our company can do for their business. You receive 10% when the prospect becomes a client. Our minimum sale is $1,500 monthly which can go up to even $10k monthly, you'll be receiving 10% recurring(monthly) as long as the client stays with us. To join us, PM me [link] [comments] |
