Fall is quickly approaching and many of our users may be considering furthering their study of economics with graduate school. The purpose of the grad school panel is to provide users a place to ask questions that may come up when considering grad school, navigating the application process, or managing the job market afterward.

We have an excellent list of panelists who have volunteered to answer questions. Feel free to tag any of the users below if you think their experience may be useful to answer your questions. We are still accepting panelists; if you would like to be added to the list please PM with me a brief description of your experience.

Panelist Degree Current Status Additional Details

/u/chubbyorangecat dynamics and logistics of grad school
/u/Delus7onaL PhD, Economics 1st Year accepted to several ranked programs with funding with a major hole in my application: I only had Calc 1 for math on my transcript and a GRE quant score below 80th percentile

/u/Hicrine MA, Economics 1st Year can help with any application questions for Canadian schools. Also had a pretty horrible GPA coming up to the application, but was able to pull off the grades in the right classes so I can speak to that.

/u/qandyouinazoo MS in Economics and Policy Analysis, BSBA in Finance Degree work as a Software Engineer

/u/UpsideVII PhD, Economics 4th Year AMA about grad school, admissions, teaching, or research
/u/VaporCloud Last Semester of Grad School focusing on financial economics and global economies; One of the main reasons why I got into the field was to give back so bother me as much as you need to!
