Markets can be wrong, no matter how certain they are. But when Powell himself acknowledges their "neutral" rate target is lower than where the interest rate is, this has to be a clear sign. The core CPI came out higher than forecast. But maybe that's a one-off event. And Fed would've known about that data well before anyone, maybe even when Powell had released the statement yesterday.
