A company from another country has stolen our name + logo, what actions do I take? Posted: 28 Jul 2019 11:10 PM PDT Hi all, Kind of freaking out right now and I don't know exactly what to do. I own and run a company based in Australia. It is registered with a government body and we have company registration materials to prove it. We also utilised the use of a graphic artist through Fiverr to make a custom design for our logo which we paid good money for. This logo, along with the name, has been stolen by another company who is a direct competitor of ours. They've started attaching our logo to their product and have been passing it off as their own. I've researched frantically on what I can do but at the moment I am overwhelmed and a lot of the steps to take apply either to US based companies only or for situations relating to Australian based companies only. I have tried contacting legal companies but I haven't got a response from them so far. This other company has no social media, only an address to a place in Florida and a contact number. They have privacy on their WHOIS so I can't even email or contact the person responsible directly. Is there any way for me to solve this issue without forking out money in registering for an international copyright or taking legal action? Any help or guidance is much appreciated. EDIT: They have video footage of a woman modelling their product using their old logo with the same name on YouTube. Don't know if this is relevant in any way but I can see the uploaders name/photo on their YouTube page. [link] [comments] |

The Language of Money: How Human Translators Give Companies A Competitive Edge Posted: 28 Jul 2019 10:16 PM PDT As technology continues to advance in this growing age of innovation, it's easy to assume that just about anything can be automated. The truth is that some fields absolutely require that human touch to effectively achieve its purpose, and one of those fields is translation services. https://i.redd.it/mxr1no4of6d31.png Companies like Google and Microsoft have developed their own automated translation services to varying degrees of success, but the main consensus is that nothing surpasses the ability of native-speaking humans to translate at a personal and professional level. Plenty of businesses agree with this sentiment. [link] [comments] |

Where do multi level marketing companies stand in 2019? How are they still surviving if they are Posted: 28 Jul 2019 04:32 PM PDT I'm very curious to know how the general MLM industry is doing in 2019. Witch a business model that is fundamentally flawed and destined to fail at some point. I mean how long does it take for people to realise that the platform they are pushing is bull crap and the majority of people lose money on it? [link] [comments] |

Does Anyone Know Where to Find Business Slow Seasons Data Posted: 28 Jul 2019 03:06 PM PDT I am looking for data on when industries have slow seasons. I know there are many that go through yearly cycles of busy and slow, of course there are outliers, but I haven't been able to find a list on this based on any kind of data online. I find that it is typically easier to connect with decision makers during the slow season. Does anyone know where to find a listing like this? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jul 2019 02:55 PM PDT I lease computers and equipment and I also do computer repairs, the leasing is my main income guarantee but the repairs bring a small amount in every month, recently work has been scarce and the phone hardly rings, I spend my days doing nothing and the leasing only brings about £250 a month (due to leases ending and clients not renewing) I'm getting really worried for the future of my business, is there anything I can do to bring the work back? Sorry if this doesn't belong here but where should I advertise, money is tight and I've only got £1900 left to my name for the business. Thanks for the suggestions [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Jul 2019 01:43 PM PDT Hey, I am a student, I want to be a businessman, but no one from my family is from business background and neither in my friend circle. I want someone to guide me. I can assure you I am not a time-killer, I really want to learn and am willing to go to any extend to do so. [link] [comments] |

Thoughts on pursuing a minor in business analytics with my English degree. Posted: 28 Jul 2019 04:42 AM PDT Hi! So I'm heading into my junior year of university and have decided on minoring in business analytics alongside my English degree. My original intent upon graduating was getting into technical writing (as a day job, while pursuing to be a screenwriter), and while I know that is still a feasible option (the technical writing part lol), I was wondering if also minoring in business analytics would actually give me a boost in my resume and finding a job? I've found a stronger interest in film and television distribution (compared to screenwriting) and kept seeing that data plays a big part in this kind of industry. That's why I decided to choose business analytics over general business now. Overall, just asking if you think that these two concentrations can go hand in hand? Is it possible for me to still get into a more business/data analytics field? Or should I start looking into masters programs? Note: I just find this newfound interest, enticing? I never thought I would be into this stuff until doing research on a film that did poorly at the box office. [link] [comments] |
