[UPDATE] Enterprise SaaS/Cloud Stocks Posted: 01 Mar 2019 01:45 AM PST In one of my previous posts, I listed a handful of Enterprise SaaS / Cloud stocks that I was bullish on. The majority of the stocks on my list are up significantly since my last post -- many of them crushed their ER and guidance.
In my last post, I totally forgot to include $TTD among a few others which I was also bullish on. TTD is up almost 37% since original post and hit a new ATH this week. For context, SPY is up 3.5% since original post. [link] [comments] |
Buying stock in companies with products that you use Posted: 01 Mar 2019 06:55 AM PST I work in IT and we use many different products from different tech vendors. Am I allowed to purchase stock in those companies? Ex: use VMware products and think that they have a good product, so I buy stock in them. Are there any legal issues with this? (I don't work directly with the vendors or know anything specifically internal to those companies) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 09:09 AM PST I am thinking about dumping like 1000$ into cvs seeing as it really can't get any lower. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
Voestalpine undervalued and set to rebound? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 07:15 AM PST Voestalpine is one of Austria's biggest companies and one of the only profitable steel companies in Europe. The stock's p/e is below 10 and looking at the chart a rebound seems to be incoming. Over 5% dividend at a payout ratio of 32%. Anyone got thoughts on this? [link] [comments] |
Hey guys, what is considered a good daily standard deviation for a long short portfolio? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 05:01 AM PST Just ran some stats and it looks like my portfolio has a daily volatility of 4.4%ish. It seems high to me? I think I might have stuffed up the model. Also curious to see what your daily volatility in your portfolio is [link] [comments] |
Best Saas/Cloud ETF not named $FDN? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:45 AM PST Any suggestions? Looking for something at a lower price point. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 08:40 AM PST 3D stocks have been on their way up last year. Would today's pullback on DDD be a buy opportunity? [link] [comments] |
Hello r/stocks, what causes a company to pay high dividends on a very low valued stock? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 12:23 PM PST This is a question about a specific company BKEP. I recently have been interested in investing and I've been targeting low cost/ high dividend yield companies. BKEP is one stock I've been following and recently they took a plunge in stock price value. As of today, March 1, 2019 the stock is trading at $1.18, which is down from $2.21 as of February 1, 2019. I have not seen any news that could be that harmful to cause this. Can anyone point me to potential news I've missed? Also, they pay an extremely favorable dividend yield 27.18% annually, which seems to be high compared to market standards. Why is that? What do they hope to achieve? Note: Even though I follow stocks, I feel as if I know nothing about valuing that stock. I have a educational background in finance, but have never advanced it beyond college into application. I'm really interested in learning the true "nuts & bolts" of how to value a stock, as an investor, and how the market gets it's pricing of that stock, along with what information is key in the financial statements to look for. Like everyone else, if you could just inform me of what Alpha is exactly, I'd be happy as well. (Joke) Thank you and happy Friday! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:40 AM PST Is there a news feed (MarketWatch, Bloomberg, Yahoo, etc.), that can send a push notification or mobile text about stocks that Im watching or currently own? I have the mobile TD trader app and I can create alerts based off of price, volume, etc, but Im looking for more of a macro news feed. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:37 AM PST Current RSI around 15.87($34.56)! RSI 30 price is currently $46.03! 33.18%+ return. I'm in at $34.75 today. If you can buy it lower CHEERS. Price targets out today are much higher if you are going long. I'm holding until my sell order goes through haha I owned this in 2017 and made huge gains. Now it is hopefully a quick trade. See some of my recent trades. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 01:29 PM PST It has performed well since 2008 (lol). I'm looking to add some diversification with REIT's but do not want something without room for growth. About 10.8 mil sqft of leasable commercial space owned in silicon valley which I believe will continue to perform even as more companies look for less expensive spaces. Any thoughts on Prologis, or other REIT's you believe have better growth potential? [link] [comments] |
Hi r/stock, how does one purchase stocks from gaming companies? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 01:04 PM PST I'm interested to buy some stocks from my favorite companies mainly because of the soon to be released games. I've been trying to find websites and services that allow me to do that. Sadly I haven't found any, I would appreciate it if someone could inform me of such ways, I'm residing in Sweden so I'm kinda clueless if there are hinders that might affect my options because of my geographical location. Posted: 01 Mar 2019 11:25 AM PST I hope this doesnt get taken down because I need clarification. A couple of days ago I bought a call option on NIO for a strike price of 11 for 3/15. I only bought 1 contract for $44 because I'm new to this. It says I can sell right now for a 43% return, which is good to me. My question is if it reaches $11, does anything else happen other than a slightly increased return? Dont be mean to me please :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 07:34 AM PST Picked up some shares at 2.95 before what I thought was going to be a good earnings report the next day ($ICD). The stock popped up 57 cents after release and then settled at 30 cents so far today. Is a gradual fall normal in this situation until it finds a settling point? For the next time would it be best to try and sell at the peak or hold out if I believe long term growth looks positive. I'm wondering which strategy is best, take profits and run or long haul because of FOMO. Thank you to anyone who can share some personal insight. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 07:08 AM PST I'm looking to invest for 30+ years as I'm 30 now, to build for my daughter when I'm gone. Just stared last week with $90 and plan to do $100 every paycheck... never invested before. Should I buy more of stocks I already own? Or adventure around? Thanks Yall Here's what I have https://imgur.com/a/5J7Dw64 Opinions? Advice? Thanks Yall [link] [comments] |
$LNG whats going on with this stock? Am i missing some info? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:48 AM PST I'm scratching my head why this fell today after announcing the Midship Pipeline construction is starting. [link] [comments] |
Why would some stocks drop so much after good earnings? Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:35 AM PST I'm pretty new to trading, but I don't understand why a stock like WDAY or BILI would drop so much after a beats-raises earnings call. Wouldn't good earnings indicate more people would want to buy in? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:11 AM PST CTL keeps dropping, do y'all feel like it's a good time to buy? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Mar 2019 09:56 AM PST General mills to report third quarter earnings on March 20, anyone have any insight on whether the reporting a are to be good or bad? [link] [comments] |
