- Can you guys clarify some things about the PEG RATIO? Is a figure more than 1 always overvalued & is a figure below 1 always undervalued or does it play out a lot like the PE RATIO where a low pe ratio doesn’t always mean it’s undervalued & a high PE ratio could mean high expected earnings

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 03:59 PM PST Hello, all! I hope your portfolios are as green as the eye can see this week. For my question, as I am an amateur in looking at balance sheets, valuations, and metrics of ratio, I am seeing if there is a quick cheat sheet of a "healthy" examples of each aspect. For example, EBITA, financial leverage, and the likes are hard for me to understand what a good number would be. Is a higher Enterprise/EBITA better than a lower one? Any and all help in a website or reference guide on what healthy numbers should be would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, ABucketfull [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 01:54 PM PST I am new to investing, and I am now convinced that stocks are the long term choice as the best performing asset class... however I keep seeing people say "never buy an IPO" etc. Well, how did a company get on the stock exchange if they didn't previously go public? What am I missing here? Or is the advice just something like - don't immediately buy an IPO because it might drop. I am approaching this from a value-investing long term lens, ie don't I want to get in as early as possible on what I think would be a future blue chip stock? [link] [comments] |

Are stocks acting weird lately asking for a friend... Posted: 06 Jan 2019 05:22 PM PST He keeps saying that he wouldnt be suprised if trump declared a national emergency because the stocks are going up and going down like crazy. Is this true or no? [link] [comments] |
What happens to the corporate debt bubble after no deal brexit? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:32 AM PST GE is dead in the water at this point, so if Barclays has a lot of their debt GE is screwed. On March 29 all of Barclay's EU assets are immediately frozen and they lose tons of worth. If they have GE's debt they demand it early. With a negative cash flow, low credit rating and debt that's more than 150% of the company's net worth GE can't pay it back. GE defaults. Keep in mind this is clearly a worst case scenario, but something like this is actually a possibility. What do you think happens to the market? [link] [comments] |
